At Insurify, our goal is to help customers compare insurance products and find the best policy for them. We strive to provide open, honest, and unbiased information about the insurance products and services we review. Our hard-working team of data analysts, insurance experts, insurance agents, editors and writers, has put in thousands of hours of research to create the content found on our site.
We do receive compensation when a sale or referral occurs from many of the insurance providers and marketing partners on our site. That may impact which products we display and where they appear on our site. But it does not influence our meticulously researched editorial content, what we write about, or any reviews or recommendations we may make. We do not guarantee favorable reviews or any coverage at all in exchange for compensation.
Choosing the best car insurance company can seem overwhelming with all the options available. Not every car insurance company is right for every person, either — the one that’s best for you may be different from your neighbor’s.
Insurify put together a list of companies to help you compare car insurance quotes and reviews. Whether you’re looking for the cheapest car insurance premiums or the best customer service, this list will help you quickly sort through the options to get what you need.

Bait and Switch Tactics
I strongly recommend avoiding this company. They initially quote you a low rate, only to find reasons to increase it later. It's worth noting that it's illegal for insurance providers to base rates on credit ratings, which they allegedly do. In my experience, this company has been extremely difficult to deal with.

This is the worst insurance company I've ever had to deal with. I would never recommend them. They violated my privacy rights and tried to force me to cover someone who does not live with me. They also placed my niece, who could no longer drive due to a stroke, as an insured driver and have not refunded my money since she passed away on 1/14/24. I paid for 11 months and was unaware of her being added to my policy by Progressive. They refused to mail me copies of my policy. I would never refer anyone to Progressive.

Unpleasant Customer Service Experience
I had a terrible experience. I called in to speak with the agent who originally signed me up, but instead, I ended up speaking with a very aggressive representative. I ended the call due to her unprofessional behavior.

High Deductibles and Rates
I would suggest shopping around as the deductibles and rates are too high.

Don't use them. I needed a roof repair and they still haven't fixed my 14-year-old roof. I paid someone to patch it, but now it looks terrible.

10 top regional insurers
Regional car insurance companies serve drivers in only a select number of states — not nationwide. But they’re still good choices for many people.
Since regional insurers serve fewer customers than national insurers, they’re often more available for customer service. Local insurance companies may also have more expertise on your area and on which risk factors and local laws will affect your car insurance rates. And importantly, regional insurers can often offer more affordable rates than large ones.
Here’s a closer look at 10 of the top regional insurers in the country.
