I have had Electic insurance for approximately 20 years. My rates just went up 25 % in the last year without notice. No accidents, speeding tickets or claims. When I called customer support their response was “well we can do that. We were allowed to raise our rates in your state.” No offer to review my plans to see if they could save me money on my policies by increasing deductibles, looking for discounts ie alam systems etc. They were much more helpful in years past. I switched to another company, have the same coverage, same deductibles and they have an equal insurance rating and Iam saving $2250 a year!

Electric insurance is by far the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with their claim service is slow in accurate and frustrating to say the least. They have drug their feet, refused to issue me payment for a prorated amount For a vehicle that should have been removed from my policy over six weeks ago they do not have to do math and calculate the amount of premiums that I have paid from that day until the day they removed it they promised me an extension on the rental car due to their lack of expediency in the claims process by using a third-party insurance adjuster who took well over a week to come out and look at my automobile, have raised my premiums to over $6000 Per year. They do not returned calls and they do not comprehend the word customer service. I am going to find a new insurance carrier for my auto‘s. Their claims people are ignorant of the process, their customer service people never resolve issues for me. I’ve been a customer for five years yet I am treated extremely poorly. I surely hope that anybody else who purchases insurance from electric insurance Company has better luck than I have. They are inherently dishonest
Electric Insurance Co has deliberately withheld information from me about a workers comp claim I had against ** ******** ****** in Lynn, MA. Although I spoke with a rep about the claim, she now claims they don't have it even though she referred to documents in her possession

I was very displeased with everything from ELECTRIC INSURANCE. Their insured hit my car and all my experience with claims has been a complete nightmare! Their customer service for claims is definitely the worst I have ever experienced. They never reply and are never happy to help and take long time to resolve. I was involved in this accident this year and my car took longer than expected to be fixed so instead of resolving never sent the money for rental until many fights when asked to wait until I can resole things at my end they send the check to IRS without even contacting me and *** was paid!!! Jesse, Jen, Ryan and the manager Kristine T******* are the worst!!! Electric company is a complete nightmare of insurance I have worked with insurance for 3 years and never offered or experienced such a disgrace of a company!!!

This company offered me great rates on my Texas home, I left my carrier of 3 years to join Electric Insurance - after being insured for ONLY ONE MONTH they are dropping my house. My roof was done in 2007 and it doesn't meet their EXTREMELY high standards. I tried to ask if I could have some roof repair done (not really needed - their report showed hardly any real issues, some noteable granular loss and a few curled shingles) and they told me NO the ENTIRE roof must be replaced. I'm an agent also for a different agency, we offer to our clients to do repairs as needed not an ENTIRE ROOF REPLACEMENT! I will make sure all of my friends and family avoid this terrible company. What a terrible way to do business! Don't event think about using them unless you have a new construction build, they'll just write the policy and cancel you a month later over what seems to be lame excuses.

Electric Insurance is a terrible company! There should be a zero stars choice because Electric Insurance is a big ZERO. My truck slid off of the road and into a ditch due to black ice and hit the embankment of a driveway which damaged the front bumper, radiator, a headlight, and dented a fender. That was a month and a half ago and I finally got my truck back yesterday without the dent repaired because they refused to cover the dent claiming that it was not due to the accident, which it was. They also stopped returning any emails or phone calls almost two weeks ago and I would not have had any transportation once their rental coverage ran out if not for the kindness of the auto body shop where my truck sat for that month and a half while the shop waited for authorizations for repairs. As it turns out Electric Insurance hires seedy private claims adjusters who also ignore phone calls and collude with Electric Insurance to deny any part of your claim which they can get away with. Now I have to live with the dent or pay out of pocket to have it repaired but at least I have the truck back in my possession. Be forewarned: Electric Insurance is not a company to do business with!

One of Electric's driver's totaled my son's car. He lied to the police officer and said he had a green arrow on a left turn. It is apparent by the fact that he t-boned my son's driver side that he failed to yield. Electric is refusing to pay based upon their client's false statement. It has been 6 weeks. Electric will take up to one week at a time responding to email or voice mail. I have resorted to putting everything in writing via email and refuse to speak on the phone about the claim because they are lying every time I speak to someone. My insurance company, **** (a reputable carrier) has ruled this accident as their driver's fault. They refuse to accept blame. First they denied the claim, then they offered 20%, then they offered 50%. I refuse to accept less than 100%. I will be taking their client to small claims court and holding him personally liable. And I will be reporting Electric to the Massachusetts Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation. I am done!
