I've NEVER NEVER EVER HAD NO BAD EXPERIENCE WITH ( AMICA ) They've always been kind with the local office an the outside customer service operators when I've ever had a question about my policy. I'm not really looking to change to somewhere else. I do get curious at times just to see if anyone else is cheaper than Amica, so far no one else has been able to beat Amica so I'm sticking with Amica. Thank You For Having the Best an Greatest Coverage on my vehicle an home. Keep up the GREAT WORK :)

If I could give zero stars, I would. We spoke with a representative [Michael Young] and he got us set up for a policy on a house we're planning to close on. We waited for confirmation on the policy, and waited, and waited. As the closing date approached, we received a call from him saying to give him a call back, no big deal. We did, no return call. Tried multiple times over the next four days. Nothing. Sent emails, called again. Find out through another call [again still can't get a hold of Michael] that they just need confirmation that we'll handle a small bit of left over mold [which our inspector said was not a problem] withing 30 days of closing. Sure thing! We'll handle that. Meanwhile, our loan officer is trying to get a hold of them as well to finalize details. Finally get a call TWO DAYS before closing to hear they will not be able to insure us. Thanks AMICA for making home buying so stressful! We'll be sure to let everyone know how "helpful" you are.

Good company ! I was a customer of Amica for 10 + years. I had both auto and home insurance with them. They always always great! Very professional ! Good service

Bought a house last year in Wilmington, NC and insured it with Amica as they had the best premium price for my older home. Hurricane Florence rolled through last fall and now they are trying up my premiums by more than 50% because I made a legitimate claim. Basically they are more or less trying to drop me for fulfilling their obligations. Other people in the area who made claims are experiencing only very minor increases in their insurance rates, or none at all.

5 renewal Policies where cancel because over the years the cost increased so much and I had no claims it force me to go out and get it quoted what a surprise I got, I been getting screwed badly, I spoke with Amica 3 times on the phone, cancelation letters were mailed from the new insurance company, I know Amica got the cancelation letters because they called me 3 times to letting me know that after the current Policies expired I was not going to be covered with Amica. The day after the 5 Policies expired my checking account was charger, I never signed the renewals they got cancelation letters and still got withdraw from my account, when I called they confirm everything was canceled and they would mail me a check, this is not acceptable first the withdrawal should of never happen and now I have to wait for a check to be mailed and waste time cashing a check. Let’s hope next month I don’t get charged again. Is unbelievable how fast they can take money out of your account but to pay you back you need to wait.

Never told you would not renew his insurance

Amica used to be good but as of late they are absolutely horrific. Their insurance agents go back on what they say, making changes without informing both parties on the account of the changes like they say they have to. Going through a divorce is stressful enough but having Amica make up rules as they go along doesn't make things easier or any less stressful. No matter what information they were given they went against it 100% and never actually contacted me when changes were made by my exwife. Now, they are claiming that they had consent to make said changes. From who? My exwife made all the changes without my consent. After speaking with a ********* of a representative, I asked to speak to a manager. They are all at lunch yet supposedly their lunches are staggered so there is always a manager free. Absolutely awful company that leaves a very sour taste in your mouth. If you want to get screwed over by a car insurance company (more so than other insurance companies), go with Amica. If you want someone honest, go somewhere else don't waste your time. I will NEVER go back to Amica. They are absolutely horrible.

Methodology

The car insurance quotes displayed are based on an analysis of Insurify’s database of over 40 million quotes from 500 ZIP codes nationwide. To obtain representative rates, Insurify’s data science team performs frequent comprehensive analyses of the factors car insurance providers weigh to calculate rates including driver demographics, driving record, credit score, desired coverage level, and more.

Insurify’s analysis also incorporates the Insurify Composite Score (ICS) assigned to each insurance provider. The ICS is a proprietary rating that weighs multiple factors reflecting the quality, reliability, and health of an insurance company. Ratings used to calculate the ICS include Financial Strength Ratings from A.M. Best, Standard & Poor’s, Moody’s, and Fitch; J.D. Power ratings; Consumer Reports customer satisfaction surveys and customer complaints; mobile app reviews; and user-generated company reviews.

With the above insights and ranking methods, Insurify is able to offer car insurance shoppers insight into how various insurance providers compare to one another in terms of both cost and quality. Note, actual quotes will vary based on unique attributes including the policyholder’s driver history and their garaging address.
