Everyone wants to save on car insurance, and buying minimum-coverage is one way to do it. But in South Dakota, minimum coverage requirements are pretty low – just $25,000 per person bodily injury and $25,000 property damage. It’s a good idea to buy more liability insurance. For example, if you cause a wreck that totals the other driver’s brand-new $45,000 car, your insurance would only pay $25,000. You’d be responsible for the remaining $20,000.
Cheapest full-coverage car insurance in South Dakota: State Farm
Full-coverage car insurance in South Dakota combines liability, collision, and comprehensive coverage. Collision coverage pays for damage to your vehicle if you hit another car or an object. Comprehensive coverage pays for damage to your car from sources other than a collision, like vandalism or weather damage.[3]
Full coverage in South Dakota costs an average of $145 per month.

Methodology

These premiums are real quotes that come directly from Insurify’s 500+ partner insurance companies in all 50 states and Washington, D.C.
