Best rates for auto insurance by far for myself and my wife with our situation and where we live. Rates don't get much better if we bundle our home, so I have a separate policy with a different insurer for my home. Customer service is almost non-existent; 95% of any contact has been through the app or online. I haven't needed to make any claims yet, so I can't comment on that aspect. I have shopped coverage with the competition and have found them to cost more and offer less coverage. So I'll put up with the lack of agent contact to save on premium and stay with Travelers for auto insurance.

Partially my fault for not having gap insurance, but they’re quick to total a vehicle approaching 70% of what they value your car at the time of an accident claim. This is guaranteed to be much less than your payoff if financed within the last 2 or 3 years typically. You will feel like it could and should have been repaired for sure, as they disregard your losses in favor of any gains for them.

I had Travelers insurance through you for one year. Despite making no claims, my policy is being cancelled. You called to offer me a different policy that is over five times higher than my previous one. It feels like a bait and switch.

I am 81 years old with limited technical training. I requested a copy of my policy declaration page and received a reply dated 4/4/2025, advising me to go to 'My Travellers Account', under the policy tab via policy documents. However, when I tried, I was unable to find anything about policy documents to check. Since I am technically challenged, I find it to be like 'jumping through hoops'.

Don't think you're all set with full coverage when an accident happens that's not your fault. The first thing they do is send an adjuster who nitpicks everything, even stretching the truth to justify totaling your vehicle instead of repairing it. This is in their own best interest, leaving you financially underwater without a breath, drowned by their actions with thousands to pay. That's not what I call fully covered at all. Where's the protection? Never again.

They are nice people, but not cheap. If you fail to sign one letter, they will cancel you quickly. This happened twice. I did use their app, but I was supposed to quickly sign every notice that came in the mail. They reinsured me each time at slightly higher rates.
