Best rates for auto insurance by far for myself and my wife with our situation and where we live. Rates don't get much better if we bundle our home, so I have a separate policy with a different insurer for my home. Customer service is almost non-existent; 95% of any contact has been through the app or online. I haven't needed to make any claims yet, so I can't comment on that aspect. I have shopped coverage with the competition and have found them to cost more and offer less coverage. So I'll put up with the lack of agent contact to save on premium and stay with Travelers for auto insurance.

We have full coverage, including a glass policy and roadside assistance. We had a not-at-fault collision out of state. Travelers handled the claim with the other driver's insurance. Partially my fault for not having gap insurance, but they’re quick to total a vehicle approaching 70% of what they value your car at the time of an accident claim. This is guaranteed to be much less than your payoff if financed within the last 2 or 3 years typically. You will feel like it could and should have been repaired for sure, as they disregard your losses in favor of any gains for them.

The first thing they do is send an adjuster who nitpicks everything, even stretching the truth to justify totaling your vehicle instead of repairing it.
