We had a very minor collision while waiting at a traffic light. The vehicle in front of us claimed we crept forward. Since there was very little damage (none to our car), we submitted the claim. To our surprise, we found that the other driver reported $3000 worth of damage to the rear of his car, with the only visible damage being a cracked piece of chrome trim at the base of the hatch. We called Travelers immediately, warning them that it was a scam. They seemed indifferent and said they would pay the claim. This could be one of the reasons why insurance rates are so expensive.

I gave them zero stars. I paid them the full amount due for the year on my home insurance. After spending over an hour of my time on the phone, I agreed to bring my car insurance over to them at the end of the month for a discount. I had agreed to pay both car and home in full on the due dates I agreed upon. Both paid policies were paid in full from my bank account scheduled for specific dates. They debited my bank account the next day and then three weeks later, they decided to change the amount of my home insurance policy and increased the amount by another $700. They debited my bank account another $354 and notified me it will be another $354 next month. I don't know who they think they are, changing a policy amount agreed upon and paid in full that day, and then coming back three weeks later to increase the amount and feel free to charge my account automatically without my authorization or knowledge until after they have done it. Needless to say, they were cancelled immediately and now I'm waiting 3-4 weeks for the return of my money. I'm going to be reporting this behavior to the state banking commissioner, as well as the state insurance commissioner. They are nothing but dishonest.

They put me through too much trouble trying to prove I had insurance with another company before I joined them. It seemed like nothing I provided was good enough, even though it clearly stated I had insurance. It's crazy that a person has to go through all of that to prove they had insurance. On top of that, different people kept telling me different things I needed, and when I got it, they said I needed something else. That's just too much for a person to do, especially when I don't even have the car anymore. However, I will say this: if it wasn't for all of that, I really liked their insurance. It was very affordable. But being dropped like that over trying to prove if I had insurance was a bit too much. They knew I had it; I gave them that along with other paperwork. But it's okay, I found someone else who is just as affordable.
