I have had good experiences with my in-office people here in town, but when it comes to claims, I've had a 50/50 experience. One claims person made me feel as if my son was at fault for an accident he had because when she reached out, he didn't answer her or call back immediately. When I tried to explain to her that he had two jobs and worked seven days a week, she didn't care. Also, a claim was paid out in this same incident, but I was never told for how much or any details of the negotiation process. I felt like, if nothing else, my son and the person involved should've both been held accountable.

State Farm charges very high rates. The agent never contacts you to discuss the policy; you have to call them. The agent has only talked to us in person once when he signed us up for insurance. Double-check charges. First, we're told a policy is canceled, and then it's back on again. Also, vehicles were put down as work vehicles that weren't because it is a dually, and you don't use a dually for personal use.
We asked that it not be listed as work as we have a work vehicle, and it has taken them a couple of months to send it through processing. Still don't know if it is listed as personal or work because nobody calls to tell us. Make sure you get a company that communicates effectively.
Also, if State Farm can spend millions of dollars on a 15-second commercial for the Super Bowl, why can't they drop rates? This is not fair. If they are in the blue, why not pass it on to the customer? We are the ones that put the money in there.
