I'm now entering my 81st year, and I cannot recall a time when I did not have State Farm Insurance. ☺️

I have not had to file a claim, so I don't know about that, but I feel like the rates I pay are fair.

The cost continues to rise with no justification. No explanation and no claims.

I do not think State Farm is as transparent with all of their discounts as they should be. Also, I have asked for help in finding an agent within my home county and still have not received any information. Thanks, Dale.

Customer service is good; you can often, but not always, get a human on the phone.

I have been with State Farm in one form or another for probably 50 years or more. My experience with them has been very positive in handling claims, responding to my requests, and the general level of service. However, there seems to be no recognition of the value of my business over the years as I was summarily canceled in error a couple of times, and their recent rates have gotten quite high, bordering on being uncompetitive.

No problems at all. I haven’t had to file a claim yet, but my monthly rate is pretty good. My agent is great, and I don’t want to leave them.

My agent is great, but the corporate office messes things up and increases the policy every single time! It's not what my agent and I worked on!

Always stay with your insurance company long enough to be recognized and treated with respect. It must go both ways. You should feel free to make a connection with one representative so communication flows. My agent is Gina Marie. She understands my wants and needs because she knows me on a personal level, and she never leaves me feeling unsatisfied. I've been with Craig Duncan State Farm for many years. Too expensive

I was referred to this particular State Farm office by a friend. My advice: check around, not all State Farm offices offer similar quotes.

My agent is very good, looks at all options, and gives me the best price.

Service is great, but the premium is too high for the given coverage.

This is the only insurance company where I've found the lowest rates along with the lowest deductibles compared to any other company, except for one where I had a higher coverage rate with a lower premium and the same deductible.

I would highly recommend State Farm. The staff at Steelhammer in Victoria, Texas is great. There is none better in the insurance company game. The rates I have received there are very spot on, and I'm really very satisfied. So State Farm, keep up the good work.

I don’t like the drive safe attachment. Even though it saves me $30.00 a month, they say, I drive an old 1999 small Ranger on country roads. You don’t have to be going fast for it to jump around if you're on hard, ridgy, bouncing roads.

I didn't know that I didn't have roadside assistance coverage, so I had to pay for a pickup for my car.

It was very good until the prices skyrocketed after all the fires in California. Service was always good. I've never had any claims with them, so I don't know how good they are at that.

Auto plus home review twice a year. Standard coverage plus liability. Rates of competitive quotes higher. Not looking to change - looking to save money. No one can match coverage and provide savings. Review your quotes and I will always consider savings.

I have been with State Farm for many years, and they’ve been a friend. Lately, I have been experiencing some problems regarding certain things that I, as a customer, have created, which could not have been prevented. However, hopefully, beginning in my next upcoming review, it will get better. If not, I’ll probably have to change. I don’t want to, but I have a choice. Thank you.

The price is excellent. I have full coverage cheaper than any other insurance company's PLPD. The problem is their roadside assistance. They NEVER have an "available provider" no matter where I am. This leads me to believe they don't have any tow companies they contract with, so you have to pay upfront and be reimbursed. It's a pain. I pay for roadside so I don't have to pay upfront for a tow.

My deductible was supposed to be $100.00. When I got my newest paperwork, it showed a $500.00 deductible. They tried to pull a fast one on me! I'm going to drop Progressive on the first of December!

Friendly and great rates. They are upfront, honest, and caring about their clients. The claims department is quick to take care of claims. Overall, I am very happy with State Farm.

Stay away from SF, Allstate, Progressive, and all the major companies as their insurance rates are going sky high. I think what you need to do is go for something mid-sized or, if you can find a small company that actually pays claims and provides good customer service, that will be best. Otherwise, if you go with the small ones, you’ll be hit with all the fly-by-nighters.

They need to make their billing easier to understand. What they are doing now is very difficult to comprehend. They should automatically give discounts if you are a loyal customer and quit showing a huge profit for the agent. Give back to the customers; we pay enough in premiums.

State Farm has an incredibly easy claims process, and I think you pay extra for some of those features. I personally used a broker for our policy, and I’m not sure if she was the issue or if State Farm was also, but we had a claim on one policy, and State Farm proceeded to drop us from all of our policies, even the one that was not involved in the claim. No one told us, and we were dropped last minute because of it. One of my vehicles was also up for renewal, and we were not informed there was a form to be signed, so I went uninsured for two weeks without knowing. Really bad experience and will not be using State Farm ever again as a result.

I've been with State Farm since 1959—that's 66 years. How much money do you think I've paid into this company? Your prices are way too high for us seniors and your loyal customers. I've had all my cars and home insurance with State Farm all these years. I have always owned three or four cars insured at a time. I am retired and live on my Social Security and pension. I am shopping the marketplace for better-priced insurance. The internet is bombarded with all kinds of bargains. Insurance is just a scam that I've put up with for years.

They keep raising the insurance price, and their answer for doing so is ridiculous because of the area where I live. I have to move for my rates to go down. Where do I have to move to? I like the people there; they talk nicely to you and are very helpful, but it's just not fair with the rates.

Not happy, but it seems to be lower priced than others. No claims filed, so I don't know. Discounts should be more with incidental mileage, and while I have a credit score over 800, it should not apply to insurance companies. Why? You pay and you get insurance; you don't pay and you have none. For those with lower credit scores, it usually means a higher premium. Just a way for all insurance companies to make more money. They never lose, you know.

Don't use State Farm. I had one accident last year. I backed into a tree in my driveway. It was the only claim I had with them after having them for quite a while. That increased my insurance by over $200 in June, then again this December to $771 for 6 months. I drive 5,000 miles a year. Is that reasonable? I called them and they wouldn't work with me, saying it was because of the accident. It wasn't a major accident with any person injured and the damage was only to my car's driver side.

Drop comprehensive coverage on cars over 5 years old. Payout amount is very small.

Since 2021, my insurance has gone from $311 for 6 months to $906.22. No claims and no tickets in that time frame. Not to mention, I retired in 2021 and now I drive less than 4,000 miles a year. I feel like they are stealing from me.

Rates are too high.

For six months, it was good. After that, they increased the premium without notice, which is deceiving.

I've been with them for over 30 years. The agents made plenty of money, but they weren’t much on service. They offered to check odometer mileage but never checked it after the first notice when they wrote it off the odometer. Now I’m a senior at 73 and don’t travel much, just locally to the grocery store, and that vehicle sits more than it's driven. It's a 1998 Dodge pickup.

I have never had an accident or a ticket claim. I would tell them to shop around.

I would tell a friend to get quotes from other insurance companies because State Farm does not offer the best prices. Also, if you have the misfortune of filing some claims, be prepared not to be renewed. State Farm wants only to collect money, not pay it out!

Don't use State Farm. My insurance has gone up within a year by over $90. Every six months, it goes up an additional $30. I have an excellent driving record, and I'm 59 years old. I thought your insurance goes down as you get older. I asked why, and their remark was 'maintenance.'

Sometimes car insurance rates increase without notice.

For being a loyal customer for over 30 years, we get no discount. Instead, they keep charging us $60 more for each car every 6 months, and our home insurance also keeps going up by $100 each year. We have never had a claim on our cars or home. When I questioned them about why they keep raising my rates, they said it's because more people live in my area and building materials have gone up. This is not an excuse to me. They also said they don't give discounts for seniors either.

Go with someone cheaper; they're too expensive.

State Farm is what I have now. It suddenly went up $110 more with no explanation as to why.

No need for a local agent. Although they were very sympathetic, I was told to file my claim online. I didn’t know what I was doing and, thus, I was paid less than 40% of what it cost to get my car repaired after a hit and run.

The monthly charge goes up every month. There's little to no help on the phone regarding issues. They rely on the in-car driver monitor to give discounts, which is so annoying! They expect you to fix it, but it's not my job, it's theirs. The rate goes up even when your car gets older, and they know they are not paying out when there is an accident.

I have had 1 accident in 15 years and I had to pay $500.00 to cover that. With 0 infractions and only driving 30 miles a week, I never received any reduction in premiums. I also had renters insurance and was told by the agent I was covered for inside and out, but when I made a claim, I was told I wasn't covered.

I was canceled for using a policy twice in two years, even though we were with them for eight years. You can have insurance and pay a lot, but don't you dare use it!

For someone who drives less than 75 miles per week, has had one accident in the past 25 years, and never had a DUI, I find your rates outrageously expensive.

We have been with SF for over 40 years. Last September/October, our motorhome sustained storm damage; the roof blew off, to be exact, and we got nothing! They refused to repair or reimburse our payments. It has been heartbreaking for my husband and me to totally lose our RV and have no repair, no payout, nothing. We are in our winter years and have to absorb this big loss.

My local agent is great, but the handling of claims is horrible.

I have State Farm, and it's awful. My payment has doubled from a year ago, and I am on a fixed income. I have an agent, but good luck getting ahold of him.

They will raise your rate even if there is no reason for it. After paying 6 months in full, your next 6-month payment will be increased, no matter what. I have liability only, I am 55, will be 56 this month, my car has over 104,000 miles on it, and I pay in full every 6 months.

One accident and our rates increased by 23%. We've been with State Farm for 29 years, covering both home and auto. It cost $3400 to fix. I have to wait 3 years before I can get a discount.

Customer service is substandard. Agents seem more focused on making money rather than being customer-friendly. I've been with them for 23 years and have gone through three agents because they retired. The new ones are not customer-friendly, and their rates are too high.

Insurance remains high after 5 years with no DUIs, no at-fault accidents, and no speeding tickets. There is no appreciation for my long-term business or good driving. No credit for having active siblings in the Navy, nothing. Bare minimum discounts for paperless and direct deposit.

State Farm replied to me that the company office sets the price on all insurance plans, and my agent cannot reduce the company rate on auto or residence costs to customers, no matter how many years a customer has had State Farm insurance—even with continuous yearly service and never missing a payment. I do not believe the agency cannot be more competitive and reduce rates, as the State of MS says agencies can set rates below company-set rates. Correct me if you disagree!

Poor customer service. They said they could not combine two policies into one. A competitor did it and is getting the business.

They paid quickly, directly to the tow service and the mechanic. That was good for the mechanic and the tow people. The insurance company of the person who hit me was very hard to deal with, and State Farm was little to no help to me with them. I had to beg State Farm to contact the other company, Dairyland/Sentry of Wisconsin, who were unbelievably awful. I had to repeatedly submit the same information and forms to them. Maybe it's not important, but never, not once, did I hear from my agent through the 15 months it took to settle. I may change companies after this is said and done.
