I have had State Farm for over 30 years. I have gotten quotes from other companies, but none of them beat State Farm.

I called to see if I could get a discount, and I was very happy with the discount I received.

I recently sold a car and am changing my coverage. It seems like I'm getting less coverage at the same higher cost for two old cars. I'm looking for savings as I hardly drive 100 miles in a week.

Be careful, read the items that come in the mail promptly and respond promptly. However, they do answer all your questions and take care of what you need, so I am glad I am staying with them.

They gave me one price, and a month later it was increased!

State Farm was good until I added a new car, and then things got ridiculously priced. I switched, and now my home insurance is about to be switched from State Farm.

Service is excellent. Cost is an issue, but you get what you pay for.

State Farm is such a great insurance company. I have nothing really bad to say about them except my rate was too high. I'm 55 and disabled, and there's no way I should have been paying over $300 a month for full coverage insurance for my 2012 Equinox. So I started searching around and was more specific with my search and found a cheaper rate with the same perks and options. Cheaper, but I think State Farm is still a good company.

State Farm is very fast at handling claims. I am pleased with their services.

Recently, almost all vehicle insurance companies are falsely quoting prices for senior citizens. My example: I'm 76 years old, travel less than 16 miles per month, have my truck in a carport, and have been given false quotes of as little as $39 per month. When I call, the least amount I'm quoted is $250. All I need is liability insurance and no home insurance.

I have had great customer service since I joined them almost 2 years ago, and the rate I pay is cheaper than every other insurance company that claims to be able to get me a cheaper rate. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Well, no issues for years, other than the cost seems high for an old lady who drives a few miles per day and 150 miles on holidays. Until one day, I had to pay $45.00 to be towed to my mechanic one block from my home, instead of the nearest mechanic 16 miles from my home! I believe it should be my choice!

I'd say shop around for senior discounts. The service is excellent, but their prices are prohibitive. I think I'm going to look around for a price I can afford. Everything is so expensive.

It was super easy and fast online. Setting it up was easy as well. Yes, I would tell a friend to use them.

Great, other than the price being almost twice what it should be. The agent does nothing, and I have never met him. We went to his office; he didn’t come to us. I have been with them since 1979 and expect some loyalty rewards, but none were given. I love State Farm, but they need to do better.

It's about the people. I use the State Farm that is 300 miles from where I live, with many State Farm agencies along the way. It's about the people. One little part-time agent kept me updated on what was going on with the insurance company. Katie started talking to me 9 weeks before I needed a new policy, and she is why I moved to State Farm and is still the reason because she is my agent.

It's been affordable.

I’ve had great service, but I can’t seem to get a lower rate. I’ve had no accidents or tickets for the many years I’ve been driving, but I’m still paying over $200.00 a month. They say it’s because of other drivers that my rates are so high. It’s getting hard to pay my bills when I’m on a fixed income.

I've been with State Farm since 1989, so they must be doing something right.

Good for the most part in terms of coverage and customer service. I just don't like that the rates keep increasing even though we have a good driving record, no traffic violations, and we don't travel as much. Plus, we're in our senior years.

Regarding home insurance, don't trust them to come through as expected. My house was hit by my neighbor's burst water pipe that magically cut through my wall. My handler didn't know what to do and simply put my claim into the national list, and no one has come to see me since February 16th, and it's April 16th now. I'm out of a house, my car got hit, and they made me fill out two claims (two deductibles) to fix it. Now someone plucked out my turning signal light, and I need a police report to do anything about it, but couldn't wait past five hours to get the report. So again, delays from all sides are bouncing against one another, making a bad situation worse. I am on the street and can't pay my insurance now because I ran out of money! I am too distraught and angry for a better explanation at this point. Terrible. And after they were wonderful as I worked out my grandma's home policy claim from a fire that took 60% of her house and restored it! I am flabbergasted by this.

Supposedly a waiver was coming for State Farm customers. It didn't. My rates went up instead of down. It's too expensive from State Farm, so I'm looking.

Rates go up no matter how long you have been with them or your driving record.

Prices have tripled in the last 2 years.

I recently had a blowout from a pothole. I called State Farm for a tow since I had towing coverage. An hour and a half later, no tow truck. I called them back and complained. They said I would get a call when the truck was on the way. Never got a call or a tow truck.

They were better than State Farm by $200, but they raised my rate without even calling me.

The cost of insurance keeps going up.

State Farm is charging me $215.02 per month for my 2012 Nissan Murano. I called them, but they were not interested in discussing my policy and rate. I am looking forward to the day I cancel them.

In past years, it was good. Now the rate has jumped up 35% and coverage is up 5%. This is ridiculous. I have a 1999 Jeep with $5,000 coverage that was charging $108 per year, and this year it went up to $140 for the same coverage. Not good!

Offhanded and more interested in cash than anything else. I drive 6,000 miles a year or less and get little discount.

You will pay large sums of money for your auto insurance, but you better never have a ticket or accident, because you will not only pay higher premiums, but much higher and for many years, even though you have had an excellent driving record for years prior. It does not help if your spouse hasn't ever had a ticket or accident. Auto and homeowners insurance is way more costly than it should be.

I have been with State Farm for over 66 years. Times are changing now; both my wife and I are retired, driving much less, and living on fixed incomes. We have 3 autos now, the oldest being a 1995 GMC truck, plus our house is insured with State Farm. I need to evaluate our expenses. Insurance is our largest cost.

I was told one price over the phone and received a higher payment when they mailed me different numbers. What a rip-off!

Due to the lack of insurance adjusters and their use of artificial intelligence through third parties to process claims, you are looking at a total loss in the event of an accident, with them keeping the vehicle to auction and recover some of their money. Vehicles are grossly undervalued with this company.

I've never had lower rates in all my years with no claims; they always go higher. We had a claim, but not a lot because we carry a high deductible. You would think after years with a good record, rates would go down, not up.

Guard your wallet. Rates go up every 6 months.

My agent has had nothing to do with me since she gave me the policy. I’ve asked several times to make changes to my policy with others in the office, and they won’t. My BMW is a classic. I barely drive it. The other vehicle is a 2023 truck 4x4. I’m paying over $200 a month for insurance on them. I’m a senior citizen on a fixed income. I tell them I can’t afford this, but still, they don’t work with me to make some changes. I’ve had no claims. I am looking for another insurance company.

I have 7 policies with them, bundling 2 homes, 2 boats, and 3 vehicles. The price of the insurance goes up every 6 months even though I have been with them for over 40 years.

I have been a State Farm customer for 50 years and have not placed a claim for, I would guess, 30 years. They just raised my homeowner's rate by 20% because, according to the agency office, they are raising all condo rates. State Farm is no longer a good neighbor.

In my opinion, after checking around with other insurance companies, State Farm is high-priced and they don't seem to be very helpful in saving money. After 44 years of experience with them, one might think that there could be some kind of discounts, but I have yet to find a way to get any less of a premium.

Terrible price-wise, they keep going up and we have great credit and I only have one speeding ticket. Prices have been going up for a while. Currently looking elsewhere. They said once you're in your 50s it would start going down, but our policies have only gone up.

State Farm has a third party sending drones over people's houses and walking on their property without notifying them when arriving for house insurance. They won’t send you a copy of the report but just tell you to cut back trees. They won’t provide any details but will terminate your insurance after 40 years and no claims if you don’t comply. They don’t offer any assistance.

Even with high deductibles, it is still pricey.

I would tell people to stay away from State Farm. I have a good, clean history of driving with no homeowners claims, and it seems like my premiums went up every six months. My premiums have increased by over $300 in the last year or so.

They claim you don't have the coverages you paid for when you're in an accident. They like to say that full coverage isn't a thing, yet when making the policy, it is.

Overpriced, don’t receive proof of insurance card frequently, and do not give you a reminder until the last minute.

I still have State Farm, but I'm looking for lower rates with full coverage! I received offers from Progressive, Allstate, and others using the same coverage specs, and prices were lower. I’m a good customer, but the price keeps going up and I barely ever reach out to them for anything. I just keep paying my overpriced insurance bill, which is very annoying.

My questions were answered. The rate is high. When I had a claim regarding the "at fault" other person, the agent said, "They're a good company. Do you want to deal with them yourself?" I asked, "Why am I paying you?" Maybe it was just that particular agent, but it seemed a bit lazy. I was able to have payments drafted from my bank, which always kept me current. I liked that.

They are using claims from towing against me as well as existing information that they knew prior to giving me a policy. They also refused to give me a refund when I turned in my plates and provided proof. I had no car on the policy, and they wouldn't tell me what credit I had when I added a new car.

My local agent is great. The national level, not so much. I was in an accident two years ago and was told I would get no help from your company even though I was not at fault and the other driver was cited. I never got reimbursed for my expenses to get home to Florida from Virginia.

I'm satisfied with my insurance now because it fits my budget and the app is super easy to navigate to your needs.

I think they treated me unfairly because of my age. I can’t prove it though. I had a backing accident in a department store parking lot. Very little damage to the other person’s car, none to mine. They raised my insurance $40 a month.

Prices are too high. Inoperable cars shouldn't be charged, or at least the rates should be lowered. I'll be in contact soon about these issues.

The folks at the State Farm office are awesome. However, the insurance is way too expensive.
