Love the company. I have had only Progressive for my last vehicles over many years. I would tell a friend the best way to go with this company is 6 months at a time. You can unlock discounts faster, but if you slip on monthly payments, you start over on your discount cycle. Forget Snapshot; it doesn't send good information in rural areas like where I live in the Okefenokee Swamp, and Snapshot was not accurate at all. This can end up costing you in the long run.

They have always been great when I call to have them mail my cards and policy. I have never been in a situation where a claim needed to be filed, however.

They cut my auto insurance cost by over half! Yes, I’m telling everyone to at least take a few minutes to let them show the money they could possibly save by switching to Progressive. Oh, and there was no change in coverage!

This is my first time using Progressive, but I must say that the customer service representative was very respectful and explained everything before I switched to Progressive. The price for insurance was great, saving me money from the insurance company that I had. I am getting the same coverage as I had with the other company, except the rental coverage, if I need it, is better with Progressive. I hope that price continues to stay low.

Don't get home insurance with them because they outsource it to another company that doesn't pay your claim and accuses you of lying.

When I signed up for this policy, I added my wife's car and got a substantial rate adjustment. The only problem was my truck insurance was supposed to be discontinued on the new payment date. The claim for the accident GAP did not come to fruition as I passed the deadline. The agent did not seem very motivated.

After only a month on our policy, we received a notification that our policy would be canceled at the end of the month for not satisfying their question about where our vehicle is garaged. We had actually made that known to them twice in writing. However, after calling Progressive, they quickly agreed that we had satisfied their concerns adequately and that our cancellation would be retracted. This whole incident left us in a state of confusion and disbelief, a very unpleasant experience for about 24 hours. Other than that small exception, Progressive has been satisfactory.

The agent was not informative about what I was getting for my money. I had little to no coverage at all. The policy was cheap but should have been free because if I had needed to use it for anything other than liability, I would have lost money.

Ridiculous. I bought my first car at the age of 69 and now can’t drive it because this insurance is too high. Plus, I don't know what my coverage is. I never received any information in the mail. I’ve been driving for 50 years, had a slight accident—a fender bender—and am a defensive driver. I’m using the car to go to church and locally with my own driveway parking, and I’m punished with high-priced insurance. I wish I never bought a car.

It was telling me that Progressive had the lowest rates, but it was just the opposite; my rates doubled.

Don't use auto pay! If you do and you pay in advance, they'll still take your auto payment and blame you. Then they lie and tell you they will return the extra payment within days, but it becomes weeks! They are not all on the same page when you ask questions and inquire about discounts.

They increased my rates by $144.00. The app noted a few hard brakes and late-night driving. I work overnight at Walmart, so I have to drive late.

When we switched to Progressive, we suddenly received a letter saying our homeowners insurance would be canceled within two weeks because we needed a new roof. We asked them to come out and inspect the roof with my husband, and they refused, saying 'they don't do that.' We sent proof of a new roof and still got a cancellation letter! I was told it 'takes time' to update records. I asked, 'But meanwhile, I have no insurance?' And she said, 'That's correct!'

I added my grandson to the policy and the payment doubled.

We had wonderful coverage with Progressive, paying $489 for six months. My 46-year-old son backed into another parked car when he tried to leave the establishment late at night. It was 11 pm, the other car was black, and he did not see it. It was parallel parking. He checked the other car and saw no damage (but he didn't take pictures of it). The driver of the black car could not be found. However, they submitted a claim for $3,559. This was a parking accident, not a moving violation, and our rate is now $1,039 for six months and will remain that for three years! My son has not had a moving violation for 30 years, but this slow backing up has cost us plenty. Thank you for asking.

I've gotten several quotes and the premiums never saved us any money like all the companies say they do. My wife has the policy in her name, and I'm under the policy as a non-driver because I am disabled from a stroke I had on 10/21/2024. I haven't given up my license yet and have been rated as a driver. My wife has a spotless driving record, and I feel that the premiums are not in line with her driving record.

I shop for the best value. Progressive offered the best value at that time, but it has increased by almost double this renewal.

Stay away from Progressive. The handling of my claim was frustrating as I had to keep calling for updates. Additionally, my payment ballooned after two claims to $375 a month. They never offered relief by suggesting only a liability policy as a way of lowering my monthly payment. You have to shop around to try to get the best deal and see what other discounts you can get, because insurance is so expensive. When I first got it, it was cheap, but then at the six-month review, it went up $83 a month. That's crazy.

After numerous attempts with documents from the post office, the park, and where we are staying, one utility that we get is still not enough. They just want to jack my payment up $50 a month. They canceled my insurance as of November 10 after numerous documents sent to them and numerous phone calls and emails to try to satisfy their underwriters, after three or four weeks and about 40 documents to no avail.

I tried applying for the good driver's discount. Even though my record shows less than three hard brakes a week, less than one hard acceleration a week, I only get 2 stars as a driver. I feel like even if I drove perfectly, it would still rate me low and raise my rates.

A random person was added to my policy without my consent because they have the same address as me. I received one email with a "will add in 2 weeks" note at the bottom. They have my number and everything, but nothing was done. They added them anyway.

Disappointed to say the least. It's crazy to be unable to get discounts if they aren't happy with your driving. Anything your cell phone does counts against you. If it falls on the floor, they count that against you. If it sits on your other seat and moves, that's points against you. You cannot use it for GPS because the phone moves and is considered being used, that's points against.

There is an intense lack of transparency, and communication is nonexistent. I tried to make a simple change to my policy and it took over two months of me calling and calling. There was always a problem with something and they never told me there was a problem until I called. If I didn't call, they never would have told me what the problem was.

I was not informed that their policy is only for 6 months, giving them the opportunity to come up with many reasons to raise the price. Discounts are only for the first 6 months, so the initial period is very affordable.

I had Allstate, but it was too high, so I started shopping around. I was quoted $140.00 a month, then added my son to my insurance, and they said it would be $178.00 a month. They sent me new ID information and changed it from $178.00 to $227.00 a month. I called the company, and now they say the agency wants $227.00 out of my checking account.
