I have no complaints, Progressive is a great company!

My insurance for home and vehicles is my highest cost. However, during a recent hail storm, I had considerable damage. Progressive and Safeco really amazed me with their care and fast response from beginning to end. I would hate to change insurance providers, but the cost is becoming prohibitive.

They had the lowest rates I could find, but I consider it.

They took care of me when I needed them most!

Always get a quote online before renewal. Progressive tends to quote lower online than the renewal quote they send you. I then call about the online quote, and they adjust my renewal policy. But keep in mind your driving record. I do have a perfect driving record.

Shop around. Rates are ridiculously high for someone my age with my driving record.

I have not had any claims of any sort, so I don't really know. I have been checking out other options as a senior on Social Security. When I get something from you for quotes, most of the time they don't want to do full coverage, and I still want that. So I have found others with full coverage.

They talk a lot about giving you a lot for your money, but you have to ask for every discount; they don’t just offer them. My policies have increased every 6 months even though both drivers have very good records. You have to submit your driving to a safety surveillance program, but it doesn’t seem to help anything even though both drivers have recorded scores well into the nineties. I feel both the auto policy and renters policy are much too high.

My experience so far has been good. I just hope the price doesn’t increase drastically.

I plan to switch to Progressive when my current policy ends.

They seem to be okay, it's just that it is so expensive to buy, leaving little for other things.

Call the rep, go over sections, identify discounts, compare with other insurers, and make sure that the agreed amount is correct. Subsequent emails I received had different amounts than what my internal Progressive account said. I was told the difference was because the internal one included a "renewal," versus a new applicant in my emails. So, one hand not knowing what the other is doing. A bit confusing and wasted my time.

I'm a veteran, so I just wish there were easier ways to get my discounts. Basically, you have to ask or research to get them. I'm 100 percent, so I'm tax-exempt, but they don't offer that benefit. Overall, I picked them because they were the cheapest. Customer service is excellent, very nice folks, and well-educated in their job.

The premium is too high because of our ages, even though we have a perfect driving record for many years.

The second car discount should be greater. After all, a single person policyholder can only drive one car at a time.

I was paying $173.50 for six months, and that was bad. They want to charge me a down payment of $360.04 and $198.83 for 2026. That is bad. They are wrong for that; I can't pay that much for full coverage. I feel like they cheated me. I will never go with them again.

It was fine until they increased my rate by $130! I'm not going to pay $391 for insurance when my car note is $460.

Transferred to Progressive for a cheaper rate. The first 6 months were okay, but the second 6 months increased by $70 for no reason.

Progressive is expensive, and they increased my rates after an accident that wasn’t my fault. I went from paying $660 for 6 months to close to $900 for six months. Absolutely ridiculous.

I will never agree to have a device that plugs into my OBDII port. This SNAP device is way more sensitive than it should be. When I took driver's ed in high school, I finished at the top of my class. And when I entered a safe driving rodeo contest sponsored by the Jaycees, I won first place. But Progressive is going to raise my rates based on their SNAP device. Never again.

I'm happy with my car insurance, but I'm not happy with my business insurance because everybody increased my rate so much.

I was never notified that my insurance was going from $50 to $74. I just found out yesterday when I went to my bank and asked for the last 5 months' activity on my account and noticed they were taking $74 from my bank account without telling me.

You buy it. It's cheap with great coverage, but 5 months later, you get your bill for 6 months, and it goes up by $87.

The premium is excessive and exceeds the value of the car.

They offer the lowest premium, but with $2000 deductibles, no full glass coverage, no rental car coverage, and the requirement of a device to get a discount, the high premium (almost $200 or just over) causes me to choke every month. My car has been down for several months, and the good part about it is that I dropped my policy. I know it will count against me for not keeping coverage, which is a common issue across the industry, but I'm not getting pressured into keeping it. The fact that I will face higher rates is better than handing money to a company that isn't earning it.

When you switch to Progressive, they give you a rate that's too good to be true. Once you go with them and it's time for renewal, your monthly rate seems to increase for no reason at all, to the point where you are paying the same amount you tried to get away from with your current insurer.

The new car insurance is $230 less for 6 months, mirroring the coverage offered by Progressive.

After getting my new policy, within a month they canceled me because of "too many endorsements" within the 60-day window period. I called and spoke to a member of the underwriting team and explained that I traded in 2 vehicles for 2 newer ones. Evidently, I was told I should have waited to do that. The bottom line is they should inform the customer either in a written statement or verbally of this clause. Very disappointed and would not recommend this company to anyone.

I'm paying too much for coverage on a 25-year-old auto. I drive less than 20 miles a week, have no DUIs ever, and no speeding tickets in 20 years. I'm charged over $75 per month for a vehicle which is garaged and used very little, many times not at all.

The app is difficult to navigate and the insurance is expensive.

Progressive was okay until it came time to renew my insurance. They raised my rates by $36 without my knowledge. I was given a 1 on my trips. I later found out they were not only using my phone information but also my son's phone information. He would Google for a location and they would say it was me. I definitely knew it was not my phone, especially the last time.

Always shop around because you're guaranteed to have a rate increase at policy renewal time. I'm in my 50s with no tickets or accidents. They tried to increase my rate by over $100 per month.

Progressive kept having me send information over and over. They can call it Emerald Service; I call it a hassle. After 21 years, trying to buy a different policy was ridiculous. I'm changing insurance companies due to the extreme hassle to renew.

They charge too much and the "discounts" aren’t noticeable. If you make a claim, no matter how long you have had their insurance, they won’t wait a second to increase the price of your policy. It's as if you haven’t paid enough to cover that claim and more while being insured by them. So, guess what, nothing really sets them apart to make them stand out as better than anyone else you can get a policy with.

I'm not happy. It's gone from $215 to right at $300 in a matter of months. No tickets, no wrecks, but a vandalism incident when my granddaughter made me move to town! Fifteen other cars in the parking lot got hit for catalytic converters. I drive a diesel.

They do not base my premiums on how little I drive. I will be shopping around.

I had them before and you get no discount or incentive for staying with them. Their rates just keep going up every time you renew. The price is very high. I don’t know how they expect people to afford staying with them.

Progressive added people to my policy who already have their own verifiable coverage, and now my monthly premium is $2,200 for my two vehicles with state minimum coverage. I will be switching back to Geico and will never use Progressive again.

It is new and much cheaper. I saved over a hundred dollars and got more coverage and benefits. My driving record is excellent, and I have had a driver's license in three states. I had a B License in one state to transport customers from the airport to our parking garage where their car was located. All Progressive did was raise my insurance every year, not because of my credit, but because the people that live in the area own expensive cars. My $16.00 discount was only if I paid my policy in full. When I moved a year later, they kept putting people on my policy that I didn't know. So if I didn't call and tell them, I would have had to pay more. Say no to Progressive. No installments if paying monthly.

Rates go up, not down, even though you try to stay safe.

I accidentally let my policy lapse, and when I paid to restart it, the cost went up $30 a month.

I drive 3,000 miles a month, often in traffic. This causes a lot of stop-and-go behavior, sometimes even being cut off, resulting in hard braking. Progressive used Snapshot to increase my policy cost, even though my driving was superb. No accidents, no tickets, no claims.

Terrible customer service, incompetence regarding policy information, and an unjustified premium increase. They updated premium pricing to almost 5 times the price of competitors.

Progressive charges way too much for coverage. I have been with them for 10 years. They say I am a diamond member and get discounts, which, if applied, might be $5.00. $395 is way too high.
