GEICO's service is excellent in almost every case. My problem is getting a live customer service representative. There are times when I want to speak to a person. That's the one change I'd encourage them to make. Most companies are using AI, which makes things extremely difficult.

Geico is the best insurance company for me because they are very transparent. Though there is no reasonably priced insurance in Kentucky, Geico is so far the cheapest I have found for the coverage I need.

Finally had to switch to another provider and found out that an accident my spouse and his car were involved in 1 year ago shows up on my driving history, even though the claims agent said that it would not.

I like GEICO, but when I lost my car that I had almost finished paying for, I got a decent amount from them. However, the car that I bought was a 2020 model, so it was two years old. I had Enterprise bring it down for me, and it was an SUV, which was too big of a vehicle for me to drive. As a result, I ended up having two accidents with that vehicle, and of course, my insurance went up, and I still owe $8,000.

I have been satisfied with Geico insurance and have looked into saving money by changing for 2026. I have not found a better company that offers the same value for any less cost, and several I have looked into have been quite a bit more costly for what I currently have. I would recommend Geico to friends.

When I asked for a lower rate, they said that it was not possible, so now we need to find another insurance provider.

You don’t get quotes; you get more and more of the same questions from every company. Just call the company directly. It’s less frustrating.

I would advise against insuring with GEICO because they seem unwilling to help clients reduce their rates. I am paying almost $600 every six months for a car that sits in the garage four out of five days a week. No DUIs, no tickets, no accidents, and they still refuse to lower my rate.

I’m a 72-year-old widow and haven’t had an accident in over 30 years. I've had a few window claims as I live in Phoenix, Arizona. My rate is about $130 a month. I have a 2021 Honda HRV that only has 25,000 miles on it, and I’ve had it for six years. I don’t understand this. Why is my insurance so high? I’ve tried and tried to find other companies to get it down, but nobody, and I mean nobody, has a cheaper solution for me.

Used to be good, but every year the price keeps increasing. Not by a little, with no accidents or violations of any kind. I adjust my coverage to lower it, and come next renewal, it doubles from what I was trying to save.

I’m deeply disappointed they don’t consider good driving records with no tickets and very low daily/yearly mileage. I use my car for personal use and only drive 1-2 times a week, usually less than 55 miles a week, or even less if I only drive once that week, if at all some weeks. I have good credit.

No issues until we made a claim and never had anyone call to find out our side of the story or to call and ask what happened, just paid the other driver's claim when she was in the wrong!

Hello, You are infringing on my privacy by constantly forcing my phone to provide location information. Where I am is my business, not GEICO's. If you want to know how the vehicle is driven, provide a GPS device assigned to the insured car, not to my phone. I am a professional truck driver and I drive across the entire USA in a truck. I only drive my private car for 5% of my annual mileage, so this information is not relevant to you. Furthermore, when calculating my insurance premium, you increased the amount because I had a speeding ticket 5 years ago. The calculation should be based on the last 3 years, and during that time everything has been fine. This is my first and last insurance policy with your company. I do not consider you transparent.

They "accidentally" bill me monthly (then fix it) when I paid for six months. They didn't tell me my credit would be checked, and I think that's not only dishonest but unnecessary. The only reason someone's credit should be a factor is if they're borrowing money. It used to be that your driving record mattered. It's the same with many other things in life. One's rental history mattered when renting. I don't like being dependent on banks. Geico makes that happen.

Roadside service is great. Rental car quickly provided. The bad thing is the price. Every 6 months the rates go up. I have had a perfect driving record since 1977 with no at-fault accidents, so I believe the rates should go down, not up.

I applied and paid, and then my premiums were increased. You said I had a claim. I finally figured out how to call, and they said to send a claim history. I sent the history, and you still have not decreased my premiums.

I was in a very minor low-speed accident that caused minimal damage to the other vehicle. I sent in photos and a video of the accident as it occurred. The damage was possibly $1500 worth to the rear bumper area. Geico totaled out the other person’s car for over $8000 without even looking at my pictures or video. And then, of course, raised my rates, with no accidents in 45 years of driving.

Geico was unwilling to review and lower my premium when they made a mistake. They were charging me for two vehicles when only one was on the policy. They did not follow instructions to cancel one vehicle and kept charging me the same premium for one. I called them several times to clarify, and they acted like they did not care and said, "That is the premium." But when I canceled, all of a sudden they were ready to negotiate a lower rate.

I called to ask a question about whether or not GEICO would still cover the repair of a chipped windshield with a crack less than 4 inches and waive my $500 deductible. The answer was no, but the customer service agent wrote this up as a claim. My policy was due for renewal, and GEICO increased my premium by about another $50 per month! I am a retiree. I am comfortable financially, but I don't need any higher costs. I am very disappointed in GEICO after being a customer for more than 3 decades!
