The system is designed to control your account and make you pay higher premiums. Make sure you check everything. When you make a change, verify it because it does not update as usual. I had to call about my situation. The service representative claimed to have resolved the situation, but it was not. And time costs money.

Not too long ago, we added an additional car and changed the coverage on our existing one. This was done with no problems in a timely manner at very good rates. We've been with GEICO since 1972 and see no good reason to change.

It seems if someone has suspended insurance, you will have a hard time getting your deductible refunded.

The process of acquiring coverage for my 3 vehicles was very easy. Also, the ability to add or change coverages on your policy can be easily done online. So far, I am very pleased with my GEICO policy.

Buying insurance online had disadvantages. You see the price too good to be true; that was my case. It's better to speak to an agent. My mistake was I did not check the deductible, and I found out I have $1,000, but my lease required $500. I've been with Geico for 25 years. They don't care about you; you're just a monthly payment to them. Zero points, zero at-fault accidents, yet the premium keeps going up and up. I had one accident where I was hit from behind, and they wouldn't help me get my deductible back from the other driver's insurance company. They told me to do it myself! When I finally got a supervisor on the phone, after a few hours, she told me it's not worth their time and money to help me because it was only $2800 in damages to my car. Maybe not worth it to them, but the $1000 deductible I paid out of pocket was a big hit for me when I was the victim. What am I paying them for? When comparing rates, I found several policies that were less for the same coverage and with a $500 deductible compared to $1000 with Geico. When I asked them to match the price and deductible, they said go ahead and switch! So much for being a faithful customer for 2 1/2 decades.

Never accept Geico. Coverage doesn't match the premium's high cost. Nothing more than higher cost for less coverage.

Horrible customer service and no resolution to them understanding my checking account was hacked and they didn't receive the automatic payment where all my accounts were affected and had to change my billing information. Called a few times and got all kinds of conflicting bills. The girl who first helped me was very nice and told me she was reluctant to take a payment over the phone from me. She reported, "I'm afraid that they won't get it right!" This company disrespected my words and chose not to try and understand the truth. I would like to know a supervisor I could talk to even though I will never use them again. They charge three times as much as other agencies, no thanks.

Don't use Geico. They charged me more when I moved to Illinois, then charged me even more when I moved to South Carolina, and charged me more again when I moved back to Tennessee. What's wrong with that picture?

Terrible! I am a 65-year-old woman on disability who had a minor fender bender three years ago. They paid less than $2,000 for a scratch on the other car, and I claimed no damages on my car. They increased my insurance by over $100 a month! What’s the sense of having insurance? I should’ve paid for it out-of-pocket like so many people do.

They don't give discounts to established customers, even though other places give me more than a 50% discount.

The people at GEICO handling our claim were very rude and disrespectful. During one conversation, they had my wife crying and so upset she handed the phone to me to finish the conversation. This is the reason we are looking for a new company.

This is my third time having this insurance. I should have learned my lesson the first time I filed a claim with them. The first accident, they said it was both our faults, which I believe was due to both of us having this insurance. The second time, a guy sped past me when I was changing lanes, and they said it was my fault. The last time, I had the right of way when a guy cut off someone behind me while we were turning. Instead of waiting his turn, he continued to cut off the guy behind me and hit me. The police came, but there was no report. I had a passenger, and they said because they were in my car, I couldn’t use them as a witness. The guy he cut off was my witness, but they said since I didn’t get a police report or video, it was his word against mine. This is a horrible company to have insurance with. Please stay away from this company. I have learned my lesson and will never come back.

The inspection supposedly showed an overhanging tree branch and an issue with our front porch. They would not renew our home insurance policy until these issues were addressed. When I finally navigated the AI phone answering application and spoke to a live representative, they simply stated the rate increase is because they can. I dropped Geico after only 5 months. An $870.00 increase is unacceptable.

I dislike Geico car insurance. I tried unsuccessfully to pay them five times, but they ignored me. My car insurance policy letter said my policy was canceled on 3-13-2026. I was trying to renew for the date of 3-10-2026, starting in late February to be ahead of time. Geico canceled my policy, claiming my bank would not pay, but the bank said Geico did not try. Then, on 3-24-2026 at 12:01 AM, a Geico letter said my policy cancellation was reinstated from the previous cancellation date of 3-13-2026. In 10 minutes, I acquired Progressive car insurance. That day, my bank said Geico accepted my payment. Now I have the difficult task of getting my payment back from Geico, who said twice in letters that my car insurance policy was canceled.
