Good company but a little too pricey.

Insurance for seniors is still too high, especially when you have an excellent driving record with no tickets and no accidents.

They were fine until they raised my rate from $83.00 to $143.00 just because I moved from AZ to OK. I'm 68 years old and have been driving since I was 16. Ridiculous.

However, I’m switching providers because I found a competitor offering more coverage for a better price. While the service is great, I feel their monetary value could definitely be better.

I have been insured by GEICO since 1994. I am very pleased with their customer service and the price of my policy. I have checked with other companies and no one comes close to their insurance rates. I would highly recommend GEICO.

Adequate, doesn’t include regular maintenance but roadside assistance was excellent. Joe gave me a jump and escorted me to the nearest garage for a new battery and warranty. I did not wait long for battery installation.

It seems if someone has suspended insurance, you will have a hard time getting your deductible refunded.

I've had a great experience with Geico. In my opinion, they need to lower my insurance. I'm a 62-year-old female who hardly drives anywhere. I've been driving since I was 16. I'm an excellent driver and I've never had a ticket in my life, but I pay $97.00 per month. I drive a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. Not fair! That's what I would tell my friend!

The rates are competitive. As senior citizens, we appreciate their willingness to explain their pricing and help in reducing costs!

I have been very happy with Geico. They were there and insured me when everyone else wanted to charge me twice as much, and that was more than 5 years ago. My rates at one point were as low as $35 a month, and then all of a sudden they shot up to $55 to $58 a month with zero tickets, zero accidents, and zero claims, which is why I started shopping around. But to be perfectly honest, even though I can get insurance for $14 less a month on average, I think I'm going to stick with Geico because they were there when I needed a break, and that goes a long way with me.

Geico was my current provider and their rates went up way too much to justify staying with them.

The price is getting out of sight. I have no claims against it, but the monthly rates have gotten to an unreachable point.

Can't get through to a real person. They charge more than most insurances, and the price keeps going up. The only thing they could say is your car is getting older... so. You used to be able to call, and they found your policy, you paid it, and off you go. They just make things harder. Looking for new insurance.

The insurance rates keep increasing even after taking defensive driving courses. They also don't honor senior status.

Very poor... They never reimbursed my deductible on a no-fault claim, and they skyrocketed my insurance when I moved from the city to the suburbs with no explanation. Customer service is horrible.

I have mixed feelings about Geico because they have tried to increase my premium every time it was time to renew my insurance after 6 months. I pay close to $160.00 for one vehicle, with no DUIs on my record, and I'm nearing 60 years old. I think that's ridiculous.

High for an older car with miles. No real discount with age. Plus, no good discount with a good driving record.

Lousy. I used to reside in New Hampshire. Now that I have moved to Connecticut, they tripled my rate. Considering I have no accidents or traffic violations against me, I find this insane.

When you restart your insurance after a payment, they want $2,000. I don't have $2,000 to give them.

The good thing is that the policy is decent and allows for month-to-month payments. However, if you are a day late, they are quick to threaten to cancel your policy.

They are charging too much and now want $30 more a month. I'm paying $98.97 for just liability and I'm a senior. Now they want $127.97 a month. Do not recommend.

The first 2 years were great, but then it went up from $261 to $599, and they say it was for going off auto-pay, which I never changed. Some customer service was great, and there was one who told me I could have extra time, and I believed him, and my insurance lapsed. They did fix it, but it was because I called over their heads. When there are important matters, there is absolutely no one to help on the customer service numbers listed. Overall, they were great for 2 years, then everything doubled, and no one was helpful. It’s like they value new customers only. I am not happy at all with the way they treated me.

I'm paying $404 monthly for insurance, and they say they're going by my credit score. I've never heard of that, but this will probably be my last time with GEICO.

I had the worst experience with a claim. A complaint was made with the Texas Department of Insurance. They failed to follow any required procedures and lied throughout the process. All is documented. It took 75 days to close a straightforward third-party claim. There were incorrect valuations, zero communication on procedures, and five different adjusters. I received two calls asking me where my car was while it was in their care. I was not able to access a rental for 15 days after the accident, and they didn't even provide a comparable one until 21 days later. They used high-pressure tactics to try to force a settlement and completely falsified narratives.

Terrible! I was treated in a very poor manner. I was rear-ended in my car. GEICO would not investigate the matter until I filed a claim. In the end, they waited several months to investigate my case, and as a result of the long wait, footage that was available on a camera in a business facility where the accident occurred was no longer available.

Way too expensive and try your best to avoid horrible drivers/accidents. Your insurance goes up when you’re not at fault due to making a claim.

I had been with Geico for a total of 17 years with no claims, and when I needed help the most, they failed me.

Good for the first 6 months, then after that period, the rate goes up and up! Ridiculous, and only for one 40+ year old on a new car. Not right!

I am a loyal customer and haven’t had any issues in 40 years. I had a slight fender bender, my fault - no damage to my car, but the other party got a crooked lawyer/doctor and made a large medical claim, which Geico paid off as a joke lawsuit. The downside is now my rates have gone up and no other insurance company will take me for 3 years. I would really appreciate it if Geico could find a way to help a poor senior living on social security.

It's expensive, and being on social security, it's hard to manage. My next payment is $500. There's no dedicated agent to talk to; you get a different one every time.

Read all legal documents. They classified my student as a Named Driver Excluded, and when she drove one day with my permission, she was in a low-impact collision at a stoplight, less than 10 mph. They denied the claim due to classifying her as Excluded when I requested she be marked as not living with me and attending school, which is an Inactive status. Now they have put me and my family in a difficult position as I'm now required to pay for the property damage.

GEICO raises rates without notice. They do not give options for lowering rates. There are loyalty rewards if you have been with them for a certain amount of time.

Premium increases every renewal.

Make sure your needs are properly insured and don't allow them to underinsure your policy.

For people that have been with them for so long, they should get some kind of discount or something for being loyal.

GEICO raised my rate from $150 a month to $520 a month when I moved to a different state. I was with GEICO for over 20 years and did not have any accidents or traffic tickets. This seems unfair!

To be honest, it starts off affordable then becomes expensive for no reason whatsoever. I'm shopping for more affordable insurance now... smh

With both GEICO and Progressive, my experiences have been bad, mostly regarding billing. They both quoted a certain amount and payment schedule, and then after the first payment, they increased the future payments by an extremely higher amount than agreed upon, without me being aware. They make policy changes without notice and don’t hold up their end of the agreement. Very disappointed in both.

I wouldn't use Geico; it costs too much. You can get the same insurance 50% cheaper at other companies.

Do not use Geico; they make changes to your policy without authorization. They are constantly raising rates without notice.

Never accept Geico. Coverage doesn't match the premium's high cost. Nothing more than higher cost for less coverage.
