Very good.

Cheaper than other companies.

I pay $450 for full coverage and $100,000/$300,000 coverage every six months.

Other than a rate increase due to the industry and the economy, I have no complaints.

Geico is just too expensive. I’m on Social Security disability, which means I’m on Medicaid, and my income can’t cover $140 a month. It was about $101, and that’s how much it went up all at once. Their reasoning was that they have so many customers and all the work that takes, so they had to raise prices. To me, that’s not a good enough reason to jump $40 on a policy with no warning. All of a sudden, $140 was taken out of my checking account, so I’m not happy— not happy at all.

Compared to other companies I’ve checked out, Geico’s rates are fine for me.

The price seems fair, and I haven’t had any issues or complaints.

I feel that my car's age and the time I have had insurance are too high. I never see any discounts either. I could say to a friend that if he wants to get insurance, he should think twice; it is expensive.

However, I’m switching providers because I found a competitor offering more coverage for a better price. While the service is great, I feel their monetary value could definitely be better.

They're really good at getting me the newest discounts. After checking with other companies, my renewal went down by $81.

I have been insured by GEICO since 1994. I am very pleased with their customer service and the price of my policy. I have checked with other companies and no one comes close to their insurance rates. I would highly recommend GEICO.

Adequate, doesn’t include regular maintenance but roadside assistance was excellent. Joe gave me a jump and escorted me to the nearest garage for a new battery and warranty. I did not wait long for battery installation.

It seems if someone has suspended insurance, you will have a hard time getting your deductible refunded.

Horrible company. Unless you want to pay out of pocket for rentals, don’t use Geico. I’ve had two claims where they delayed approving the repairs for too long, and my rental time ran out—two weeks with no car. I’ve filed a TDI complaint and may file a lawsuit. I have one more vehicle to get repaired, and if they do the same thing, it’ll be a pattern and then I’m filing. Don’t use them.

After one vandalism claim, my rate went up 62%. A $2,000 claim ended up costing me about $5,000 more per year. That feels ridiculous, so I’m dropping them before the next premium is due.

My insurance premium doubled with GEICO. They claimed I was responsible for an accident that wasn’t my fault. One of the other drivers said so. The third driver was a hit-and-run.

I wouldn’t keep it long because the price goes up instead of down.

They will never keep your coverage price stable or save you money as time passes. They always have excuses to raise your policy price, and they don’t value a good driving record. Over the years, your policy will keep increasing, never decreasing.

Rip-off. You take courses to lower your insurance, and then they raise your premiums.

I would definitely tell people to shop around before they commit to GEICO. I called to find out why they keep raising my insurance rates, and they wouldn’t give me a clear answer. That’s why I’m shopping around.

I’d tell people to keep looking for another car insurance company because Geico doesn’t give discounts to elderly drivers, and they jack up the price.

After 28 years with Geico, I canceled. They raised my premium and didn’t notify me. I asked for an explanation, and they couldn’t give me a reason. They acted like they couldn’t care less about my business. I went with Auto Club, got an actual agent, and ended up with much cheaper premiums.

Do not get Geico if you need rental coverage. I had two claims in a row with hail damage. Both times, they delayed things so much that I lost the rental cars a week before the truck was ready. It cost me a lot of money. The body shop said it’s their standard practice and that they do it to lots of clients.

Same company for five years. My rate goes up even with a good driving history, not down.

They coded an accident my son was in as at-fault, but the claim said he wasn’t. That made it harder to switch carriers.

Can't get through to a real person. They charge more than most insurances, and the price keeps going up. The only thing they could say is your car is getting older... so. You used to be able to call, and they found your policy, you paid it, and off you go. They just make things harder. Looking for new insurance.

I have mixed feelings about Geico because they have tried to increase my premium every time it was time to renew my insurance after 6 months. I pay close to $160.00 for one vehicle, with no DUIs on my record, and I'm nearing 60 years old. I think that's ridiculous.

Lousy. I used to reside in New Hampshire. Now that I have moved to Connecticut, they tripled my rate. Considering I have no accidents or traffic violations against me, I find this insane.

When you restart your insurance after a payment, they want $2,000. I don't have $2,000 to give them.

The good thing is that the policy is decent and allows for month-to-month payments. However, if you are a day late, they are quick to threaten to cancel your policy.

The first 2 years were great, but then it went up from $261 to $599, and they say it was for going off auto-pay, which I never changed. Some customer service was great, and there was one who told me I could have extra time, and I believed him, and my insurance lapsed. They did fix it, but it was because I called over their heads. When there are important matters, there is absolutely no one to help on the customer service numbers listed. Overall, they were great for 2 years, then everything doubled, and no one was helpful. It’s like they value new customers only. I am not happy at all with the way they treated me.

I'm paying $404 monthly for insurance, and they say they're going by my credit score. I've never heard of that, but this will probably be my last time with GEICO.

I had the worst experience with a claim. A complaint was made with the Texas Department of Insurance. They failed to follow any required procedures and lied throughout the process. All is documented. It took 75 days to close a straightforward third-party claim. There were incorrect valuations, zero communication on procedures, and five different adjusters. I received two calls asking me where my car was while it was in their care. I was not able to access a rental for 15 days after the accident, and they didn't even provide a comparable one until 21 days later. They used high-pressure tactics to try to force a settlement and completely falsified narratives.

I would tell them not to buy insurance from Geico. They don't cover potholes.

Terrible! I was treated in a very poor manner. I was rear-ended in my car. GEICO would not investigate the matter until I filed a claim. In the end, they waited several months to investigate my case, and as a result of the long wait, footage that was available on a camera in a business facility where the accident occurred was no longer available.

I had been with Geico for a total of 17 years with no claims, and when I needed help the most, they failed me.

Good for the first 6 months, then after that period, the rate goes up and up! Ridiculous, and only for one 40+ year old on a new car. Not right!

I am a loyal customer and haven’t had any issues in 40 years. I had a slight fender bender, my fault - no damage to my car, but the other party got a crooked lawyer/doctor and made a large medical claim, which Geico paid off as a joke lawsuit. The downside is now my rates have gone up and no other insurance company will take me for 3 years. I would really appreciate it if Geico could find a way to help a poor senior living on social security.

It's expensive, and being on social security, it's hard to manage. My next payment is $500. There's no dedicated agent to talk to; you get a different one every time.

Read all legal documents. They classified my student as a Named Driver Excluded, and when she drove one day with my permission, she was in a low-impact collision at a stoplight, less than 10 mph. They denied the claim due to classifying her as Excluded when I requested she be marked as not living with me and attending school, which is an Inactive status. Now they have put me and my family in a difficult position as I'm now required to pay for the property damage.

Very bad. Car and rental insurance is very expensive.

I'm not going to keep GEICO. I pay over $300 a month for insurance, and it doesn't even include roadside assistance. I ran out of gas one day and couldn't get anyone to come and help me. I had to get an Uber to the gas station and pay $35 for a gas can just to put a couple of dollars in my car, only to find out I don't have roadside assistance through GEICO.

Geico in Florida offers 6-month premiums, unlike my birthplace of Boston, MA, where everyone's policies are for 1 full year each. I loved 1-year policies! It took me forever to get used to 6-month policies. Now, I've had no accidents in over 30, or is it the last 35 years? As well as no tickets in over 20, or is it the last 25 years? And for my last renewal, Geico decided to raise my renewal bill by over $200. It's bad enough my insane love I've had my entire life for my Jaguars, my Corvettes, and/or my Lincoln Town Cars has cost me over an arm and a leg, especially for the repairs part of those equations. Anyways, this is why I'm leaving Geico. Besides, I haven't even been with them that long. I am sure I will find cheaper insurance in no time at all! Thank you very much!
