I found my best rate with Geico.

The price is getting out of sight. I have no claims against it, but the monthly rates have gotten to an unreachable point.

I have not had any accidents or violations in 50 years, and yet my rates keep going up as my vehicle gets older. I feel like I'm being penalized for all the people who do have accidents and drive poorly. I drive less than 50 miles a month, and I'm paying far more than I need to. I had to drop comprehensive and collision coverage in order to make my rates affordable.

Everything is easy and smooth.

Mostly fine; however, I constantly have to request ID cards that they claim they will automatically send. This gets old quickly.

My policy renewal increased by over $100 for no reason. I haven't gotten a ticket or been in an accident. I have the safe drive app, but there's misinformation when using it. I train drivers, so most of the time I'm not driving when using my phone, and it's too much trouble trying to adjust whether I'm driving or not.

No one has beaten Geico in cost since we have been searching for lower auto insurance. We are seniors and retired, and we do not drive a lot, yet you categorize us as if we do. It's not the same as years ago. We were noticed, but in this day and time, no more. Everything is in the same package with everybody else. Everything is about money, not for the people anymore. But I get it. If you drive, you will pay. Our prices go up, but not our income.

They have been great. The best price I could find, since my first insurance went up to over $100.00. So I looked around until I found GEICO.

Great service and coverage for their customers. They have been my auto insurer since 1978. They have covered every claim I have submitted. I have a 20-year-old Miata. A couple of years ago, the decayed convertible top was torn away when a storm came through. Over the years, it had been getting noisier and noisier in the car from wind blowing in through the tiny holes in the top. My wife suggested I try Geico before I paid out of pocket to replace the top. Much to my surprise, they covered the replacement. Very recently, I rented a car from Avis in New Orleans which had a number of scratches and dings when I got the car. I did not take photos at the time of the rental, but did get a walk-around from Avis noting the areas of damage at the time of rental. A couple of weeks after the return, Avis tried to charge me $5K for damages. I handed it off to Geico and they covered it. I don't know if they paid anything but I did not. There is, however, another side to Geico. My sister, who does not use Geico, was hit by someone with Geico. They jerked her around endlessly. She hates the company. Since I am a long-term customer, I am probably overpaying. I recently checked other companies and found their rates significantly lower. I haven't changed though.

GEICO used to be the head honcho to me, but now the prices are out of control. I have been browsing around for another car insurance company to deal with.

Geico is the best insurance company for me because they are very transparent. Though there is no reasonably priced insurance in Kentucky, Geico is so far the cheapest I have found for the coverage I need.

The service experience has been great for the past 8 years. The price, on the other hand, has just kept going up. Finally had to switch to another provider and found out that an accident my spouse and his car were involved in 1 year ago shows up on my driving history, even though the claims agent said that it would not.

They started with a teaser rate, then without cause, raised the rates in excess of other companies. Shameful.

Unable to resolve issues for you on claims or policy. Won't return your calls in a reasonable 24-48 hour period after leaving various messages. When calling to talk to a rep, each one tells you different things and passes you to the next rep.

I've been with this company for over 16 years, and my premiums keep going up as my vehicles keep getting older. One vehicle is over 20 years old, and the other one is over 10 years old. Loyalty doesn't mean a thing. They just want money. I need to find a different company.

I dislike Geico car insurance. I tried unsuccessfully to pay them five times, but they ignored me. My car insurance policy letter said my policy was canceled on 3-13-2026. I was trying to renew for the date of 3-10-2026, starting in late February to be ahead of time. Geico canceled my policy, claiming my bank would not pay, but the bank said Geico did not try. Then, on 3-24-2026 at 12:01 AM, a Geico letter said my policy cancellation was reinstated from the previous cancellation date of 3-13-2026. In 10 minutes, I acquired Progressive car insurance. That day, my bank said Geico accepted my payment. Now I have the difficult task of getting my payment back from Geico, who said twice in letters that my car insurance policy was canceled.

They raised my policy from $234 to $372 without any prior notice.

Don't use them as my insurance climbed from $112.00 to $147.00 with no tickets or accidents on my record. I was given ZERO warning that my rates had increased and no explanation as to why.

This company doesn't give me any options. They increase their policies and prices without any explanation to customers.

I feel like if you have full coverage and your car gets stolen and destroyed to where it's not even drivable, you should definitely get 30 days of rental car coverage, because that's what comes with it. But if they declare it a total loss, they only give you 3 days, which is not enough time to buy anything. And then you cannot buy anything with only four thousand dollars. All the items that were stolen from inside the car equaled about six thousand dollars, and I did not get compensated for them. Also, your prices are very, very high.

They lied to me when I had an accident and I was deemed 10% at fault. They promised I wouldn’t get a rate hike. That’s true… they dropped me.

I've heard the longer you stay with a vehicle insurance policy, the more they keep charging you. This seems to be the case with Geico.

I didn't have a discount with them the whole time I was with them. Every year my insurance went up, and when I asked them why, they told me that was their policy.

Mediocre. I had 4 non-fault accidents, 2 hit-and-run accidents ($500 deductible each, not my fault!), and 2 accidents (100% the other driver's fault, not my fault!), and they raised my insurance cost! 😞 I have been insured with GEICO for almost 10 years. Not happy, but I must keep insured by law!

I would not use Geico again. I had them for over 15 years and they refused to work with me. I went to another reputable insurance company and got my full coverage insurance for half the price.

Very, very hard to work through. We have an antique computer and cannot print PDF files, on and on. Your claim reps were very good. I asked them to send everything through the US mail, which they have so far. We had a very hard time with the safe drivers school as my computer system does not seem up to the needs. Anyway, got through it and hopefully y'all have received a copy. Been with you for 40 years, so we do think well of you.

I started paying $168 with GEICO, and now it's $296. I've been with GEICO for over 5 years. Not worth it.

Not great. The price was really too high in the beginning. Now they want to increase it because one person doesn’t use the Drive Easy app, as it’s too hard to stay connected to it.

They keep increasing premiums. Now, after 5 years, they are hundreds of dollars more.

Unreal how long it took to even get through the process. First, I had to take pictures. For some reason, they don’t send anybody to look at your car anymore. That took a day. Then I had to email everything to some office, and it took four days for that person to get back to me. Another afternoon and the next day to get a Rent-A-Car. Also, it was almost impossible to pick a car. I ended up having to spend 20 extra dollars a day because it was a larger car. Today, the process has taken almost 2 weeks, the car is in a shop, and no one from GEICO has called me for over a week. Really a very bad experience with GEICO. I’ve been a customer for 30 years at least, and I’ve never experienced this lack of care from anyone else.

It is too high considering I have no DUIs, no accidents, no claims. I've just been paying a lot of money, and I'm thankful I've never had an accident or anything, but I think I should get a better plan than what they're giving me. GEICO is unbelievable with their rates. We have a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2014 GMC Terrain. My husband drives approximately 2 miles one way four times a week to work. My Terrain hardly ever leaves the yard. I’m retired, so it only goes when I need to go shopping, which is maybe 4 miles from us on occasion. We currently pay $173 a month for these vehicles. My husband has no tickets. I have a ticket from approximately three years ago when I was backing out of a parking space and a lady came around the corner real fast and hit me, so I’m assuming this charges against me. But anyway, I’m very unhappy with them.

If you switch to GEICO, only stay for one year. After that, rates hike and hike until you're paying triple what you started with by year 3. Every single claim, regardless of frequent driver, goes against you, even for a comprehensive claim which is never supposed to affect the rating class of other coverages. There is absolutely zero accident forgiveness, regardless of how minor the payout was. Steer clear of the misleading ads! Everything in GEICO ads only applies to your very first policy.

They are too expensive and keep going up in cost. They should provide discounts for long-term customers. This is the reason why we are searching for another car insurance provider.

Terrible would be an improvement. After 9 years as a customer in good standing, I have been treated with indifference to flat-out rudeness. Two months ago, my car was in a wreck, and I was not at fault. I still have not received payment. My adjuster changed three times without my being informed. The current adjuster responds whenever it suits her. Communication throughout the whole experience has been abysmal. No response to texts or emails. When calls are returned, I'm fed misinformation or flat-out lies. Still waiting for a check, but every time I reach out, I get no response. Look elsewhere for insurance.
