So far, so good. Reasonable rates, but insurance is expensive in general.

After comparing other companies, Geico is only $50.00 above the rest, so it's not worth switching.

No one has beaten Geico in cost since we have been searching for lower auto insurance. We are seniors and retired, and we do not drive a lot, yet you categorize us as if we do. It's not the same as years ago. We were noticed, but in this day and time, no more. Everything is in the same package with everybody else. Everything is about money, not for the people anymore. But I get it. If you drive, you will pay. Our prices go up, but not our income.

They have been great. The best price I could find, since my first insurance went up to over $100.00. So I looked around until I found GEICO.

Geico is cheaper than some car insurance.

Geico has high rates, and because of that, I shopped for lower rates.

I think it is very expensive. I’ve only been in two not-at-fault accidents and my insurance premium has almost doubled. I’ve been with GEICO for over 40 years, and just because I left GEICO briefly for two weeks, when I came back, they said that I only have a three-year history with them. It does not show anything prior to that. Being a loyal customer with zero at-fault claims for 40 years, plus being a veteran and a safe driver, I feel that I deserve more discounts. Right now, it's getting competitive, and other companies are offering better rates. The only reason I’ve stayed with GEICO is because it is the path of least resistance.

I find Geico flawless in communication and prompt service. I had the lowest possible rates from them for many years, exceptionally low, until last year. I had an at-fault accident (so they say), but I beg to differ. But that wasn't for me to decide.

I feel good about them. They are average to above average in meeting my needs.

I would tell a friend to forget about shopping around for auto insurance. Geico is very competitive, more competitive than Progressive and Direct auto insurances.

I've been with Geico for years. The only problem I have is that it's so expensive. I pay $208 a month. I'm a senior, and that's too high.

I have conducted a diligent, months-long online search for a lower six-month premium than my current GEICO policy. No other company could even match, let alone offer a better rate. GEICO is the very best!

I like the ease of claims processing and the claim handling process. I think the GEICO app is about 85% effective. Sometimes it doesn’t work or load, and it also doesn’t consistently accept biometrics (Face ID). You have to log in even though biometrics was set up.

Geico is good and I love all their benefits, but the price is just so high. It’s just hard for me to pay it every month.

Great service and coverage for their customers. They have been my auto insurer since 1978. They have covered every claim I have submitted. I have a 20-year-old Miata. A couple of years ago, the decayed convertible top was torn away when a storm came through. Over the years, it had been getting noisier and noisier in the car from wind blowing in through the tiny holes in the top. My wife suggested I try Geico before I paid out of pocket to replace the top. Much to my surprise, they covered the replacement. Very recently, I rented a car from Avis in New Orleans which had a number of scratches and dings when I got the car. I did not take photos at the time of the rental, but did get a walk-around from Avis noting the areas of damage at the time of rental. A couple of weeks after the return, Avis tried to charge me $5K for damages. I handed it off to Geico and they covered it. I don't know if they paid anything but I did not. There is, however, another side to Geico. My sister, who does not use Geico, was hit by someone with Geico. They jerked her around endlessly. She hates the company. Since I am a long-term customer, I am probably overpaying. I recently checked other companies and found their rates significantly lower. I haven't changed though.

Excellent service and monthly payment.

GEICO's service is excellent in almost every case. My problem is getting a live customer service representative. There are times when I want to speak to a person. That's the one change I'd encourage them to make. Most companies are using AI, which makes things extremely difficult.

They're a good insurance company, and I like the app, but the prices are too high.

Geico is the best insurance company for me because they are very transparent. Though there is no reasonably priced insurance in Kentucky, Geico is so far the cheapest I have found for the coverage I need.

The service experience has been great for the past 8 years. The price, on the other hand, has just kept going up. Finally had to switch to another provider and found out that an accident my spouse and his car were involved in 1 year ago shows up on my driving history, even though the claims agent said that it would not.

Mediocre. I had 4 non-fault accidents, 2 hit-and-run accidents ($500 deductible each, not my fault!), and 2 accidents (100% the other driver's fault, not my fault!), and they raised my insurance cost! 😞 I have been insured with GEICO for almost 10 years. Not happy, but I must keep insured by law!

I am disappointed with Geico. After being a customer for 22 years with 3 kids and 3 cars, they canceled my policy as I was searching for a new carrier.

I got rear-ended and never filed a claim with Geico. The other party was at fault, but Geico increased my policy by $400 for 6 months.

After 2 accidents, and I'm a very careful driver. I can't tell you the last time I had a ticket. I'm on a fixed income, and now my rates have skyrocketed. I'm 64 years old. I need to find cheaper insurance.

Too expensive for basic coverage.

I would not use Geico again. I had them for over 15 years and they refused to work with me. I went to another reputable insurance company and got my full coverage insurance for half the price.

$2600 a year is too high. I've only had one accident with this car, and it was a single at-fault incident.

It is very expensive; the Geico Auto help is very good.

I have no online access. I don't receive emails. The policy is way too high for a 2021 car and good driving record. Almost $300!

Geico quoted me a 6-month price. I paid the bill, then they raised it by $300 after I had canceled my current insurance. I would never recommend GEICO.

Very, very hard to work through. We have an antique computer and cannot print PDF files, on and on. Your claim reps were very good. I asked them to send everything through the US mail, which they have so far. We had a very hard time with the safe drivers school as my computer system does not seem up to the needs. Anyway, got through it and hopefully y'all have received a copy. Been with you for 40 years, so we do think well of you.

Make sure you know the final price is the one quoted. Geico nickeled and dimed us after we agreed on a policy fee.

Too expensive.

I started paying $168 with GEICO, and now it's $296. I've been with GEICO for over 5 years. Not worth it.

Geico raised my rate without providing an explanation.

Not great. The price was really too high in the beginning. Now they want to increase it because one person doesn’t use the Drive Easy app, as it’s too hard to stay connected to it.

They keep increasing premiums. Now, after 5 years, they are hundreds of dollars more.

Unreal how long it took to even get through the process. First, I had to take pictures. For some reason, they don’t send anybody to look at your car anymore. That took a day. Then I had to email everything to some office, and it took four days for that person to get back to me. Another afternoon and the next day to get a Rent-A-Car. Also, it was almost impossible to pick a car. I ended up having to spend 20 extra dollars a day because it was a larger car. Today, the process has taken almost 2 weeks, the car is in a shop, and no one from GEICO has called me for over a week. Really a very bad experience with GEICO. I’ve been a customer for 30 years at least, and I’ve never experienced this lack of care from anyone else.

I wouldn't suggest Geico to anyone. All they've done is increase my insurance rates for no reason.

I have had to make two customer service calls, and they were great! The app is very easy to navigate and understand.

It is too high considering I have no DUIs, no accidents, no claims. I've just been paying a lot of money, and I'm thankful I've never had an accident or anything, but I think I should get a better plan than what they're giving me. I have found a couple of other options that save a little bit more, but I've been with Geico for almost 30 years, and they're doing me this way.

GEICO is unbelievable with their rates. We have a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2014 GMC Terrain. My husband drives approximately 2 miles one way four times a week to work. My Terrain hardly ever leaves the yard. I’m retired, so it only goes when I need to go shopping, which is maybe 4 miles from us on occasion. We currently pay $173 a month for these vehicles. My husband has no tickets. I have a ticket from approximately three years ago when I was backing out of a parking space and a lady came around the corner real fast and hit me, so I’m assuming this charges against me. But anyway, I’m very unhappy with them.

I was quoted $210 per month, but since then the cost has increased to over $500 with no explanation. I've repeatedly sent messages but received no response.

Customer service is lacking. You have a better chance of driving 10 miles on any interstate and not seeing a bad driver than getting to talk to a real person. The AI is what you interact with. Prices keep going up even though I've never had a claim. Why?

If you switch to GEICO, only stay for one year. After that, rates hike and hike until you're paying triple what you started with by year 3. Every single claim, regardless of frequent driver, goes against you, even for a comprehensive claim which is never supposed to affect the rating class of other coverages. There is absolutely zero accident forgiveness, regardless of how minor the payout was. Steer clear of the misleading ads! Everything in GEICO ads only applies to your very first policy.

They are too expensive and keep going up in cost. They should provide discounts for long-term customers. This is the reason why we are searching for another car insurance provider.

Terrible would be an improvement. After 9 years as a customer in good standing, I have been treated with indifference to flat-out rudeness. Two months ago, my car was in a wreck, and I was not at fault. I still have not received payment. My adjuster changed three times without my being informed. The current adjuster responds whenever it suits her. Communication throughout the whole experience has been abysmal. No response to texts or emails. When calls are returned, I'm fed misinformation or flat-out lies. Still waiting for a check, but every time I reach out, I get no response. Look elsewhere for insurance.

GEICO made a mistake transcribing my VIN, putting me through a difficult time registering my car and causing the DMV to report lapses of insurance to credit bureaus. On top of that, they say I’m responsible for a change in the premium dating back to when they made the mistake. My GEICO agent blamed me for the mistake because my car purchase was at 7:00, after agency hours.

They told me roadside service was an added benefit. They never told me that using it was a "claim" against my account. Then my rate went up $200 a year right after a fender bender that wasn’t my fault. It was around a $1500 cosmetic repair. The other person was at fault and their insurance fully paid. Geico was out nothing. When I asked, I was told I had two claims in 30 days and insurance was due to go up anyway.

I didn't like their services over the last couple of years. The insurance cost went up for no apparent reason.

I had insurance with Geico for 15-20 years. I recently underpaid by $54. I got online to pay it 8 hours later, and to renew it they wanted to double my insurance rate. It went from $400-something to over $800. The customer service has really gone down over the years. I don't think they listen to customers anymore.

Geico will not work with people on SSI or people on a fixed income. I can't afford $200 a month! I have been calling other insurance places.

I moved to a rural area and my insurance went up because of the number of claims in the area. My rate was not based on my driving record. I have not had an insurance claim with GEICO in over 20 years. I should not pay more because Lakeside, California has drivers with higher claim rates.
