Geico is just too expensive. I’m on Social Security disability, which means I’m on Medicaid, and my income can’t cover $140 a month. It was about $101, and that’s how much it went up all at once. Their reasoning was that they have so many customers and all the work that takes, so they had to raise prices. To me, that’s not a good enough reason to jump $40 on a policy with no warning. All of a sudden, $140 was taken out of my checking account, so I’m not happy— not happy at all.

I feel like Geico doesn't raise our rates every year, although of course our rates have gone up a little, as have everyone's. But every time I've compared them with other companies, they still offer us the best bang for our buck. When I've called customer service with questions about policies or coverage, they've always been knowledgeable and friendly, and I've never felt like I'm being given a runaround. And the few claims we've had to make, they've handled promptly, helpfully, and courteously, and never denied a claim. I know some people complain about Geico, but beyond simply never having had any problems with them, I've always felt like they really do have my back.

I received two calls asking me where my car was while it was in their care. I was not able to access a rental for 15 days after the accident, and they didn't even provide a comparable one until 21 days later.
