I hate having to handle so much online. I prefer having the assistance of an agent. With Geico, you go from one person to the next step in line. It's difficult during stressful times; however, they did handle my claims very well in the long run.

I’m satisfied with GEICO. My one problem is we both had an extremely minor dent in a parking lot that was caused by another driver. Nobody paid anything as it was so small and not our fault, but GEICO has added 1 collision to our record. GEICO didn’t have to pay, but I’m still listed as having a collision.

GEICO is a good company overall, but if you don’t shop around, then over the course of 3 to 6-month terms, it will go up and only keep getting more expensive. Currently, the quote is double the rest of the competition. They handled the claim we made but did not offer a very good price for the car after it was totaled. We could not even come close to replacing the vehicle for what they gave us. Also, they break down the options too much; some of these should be bundled for a price. It can get confusing. Overall, it’s expensive and not worth it in the end if you do have an accident.

They have the worst automated help line! It's extremely difficult, and the system refuses to connect you to a human! I called on Friday to get a copy of my policy and didn't receive the email or the link until Saturday and early Sunday morning! I dislike dealing with the automated system!

They started out good, with monthly insurance payments. But they just sent me a renewal for 6 more months, and they raised my monthly payment by around $16. I haven't had any tickets or accidents that were my fault, so I will be going somewhere else.

They keep increasing the rates. I paid my insurance, and 5 days later, I received a bill for $56.00. I didn't see it in time, and they canceled my insurance. I spent 3 phone calls and about 4½ hours on the phone and got nowhere. One call was 2 hours and 20 minutes long. So I ventured out and found insurance for half the price I've been paying for 3 years. I am being overcharged for car insurance, paying $243 a month for full coverage despite having been driving for over 20 years. In the last 4 or 5 years with Geico, I have had no accidents or tickets, yet instead of my car insurance decreasing for being a safe driver, it has increased from $150 to $190 and now $243. It just doesn't make any sense, and I would advise people not to get car insurance through Geico.

I have been with Geico for 29 years. A lady backed into my little Elantra while I was sitting still at a Walgreens drive-thru. She was driving a Pilot SUV. She crumpled my hood, but she had no damage. No one was hurt. While she and a child were playing in the parking lot waiting for the officer to arrive, I took pictures and tried talking with her. She put her hand in my face without saying a word. I thought this woman was going to be trouble. It became clear very fast that this accident was a setup. A black truck came out of nowhere, and he was her witness. He was not on the scene at all. There were no tickets issued. Geico turned down the claim, and I was found not at fault. She sued Geico and got a settlement for $32,000. Four years and six months later, I'm still upset. This was a terrible injustice, and I am still paying an unfair amount for car insurance. The morning I was to give a deposition, I got a call from the court saying a settlement had been made!

Terrible. They cut my insurance off because they emailed me asking for documents to prove that someone did not drive my car. I am 65 and since retired, I don't check my emails regularly. There was no contact by mail or phone. I was driving around with no insurance and didn't know it. The person they needed information on lives three and a half hours away and owns the house I live in.

Love the insurance company. A great rate for someone who has never had a ticket or accident. Downloaded the Geico mobile app but have not been able to use it once. It constantly says the password is invalid. I reset it three times and called twice to speak with a representative. They said they would send me a link to reset it, but it still says it is an invalid password. Very frustrating, and I don't know how much longer I will be with you guys. My payment comes out automatically every single month, and I've never missed one.

If you have an accident claim, you better hope you have video footage of every second. We got hit from behind and the person fled the scene. I hit the person in front of me, and they didn't have damage, so they left. There was nothing I could do. I hadn't even thought about taking photos yet. It took 4 months for them to come to an arrangement for us and ended up telling me that they don't believe someone hit us from behind, so they weren't covering that damage. And since I hit the person in front of me from the impact, I now have an "At fault" accident on my record. The claims people were hard to get a hold of. If I mentioned getting a lawyer, they'd respond quickly. Yes, they have cheap monthly payments, but that's because they won't pay out if you have an accident.

The price doubled for the exact same coverage.

As with any corporation, Geico has its downsides. I experienced an issue with a broken windshield caused by a stone from a dump truck. Geico marked it as a claim, which affected my rate and made it more expensive. This forced me to cancel my full coverage. Why should my rate increase for an incident like a windshield?

The prices change all the time. When you make changes to make the price cheaper, they will just readjust the price, so be aware of that.

While I was in the hospital, my coverage with GEICO was canceled. The minute I came out of the hospital, I called them to reinstate my insurance. It went up from 60-something a month to 105 with no added benefits.

I feel their policies are too expensive. I don't think they should base how much you pay on your credit score. I'm 56 years old with a spotless driving record, but a low credit score, so I have to pay almost $100 a month for liability on one vehicle.
