I would tell my family and friends that they are true to their name and always helped with any questions I may have had.

I am a retired senior citizen surviving on month-to-month SSA payments. My situation is barely livable; however, they had their reasons for canceling my policy term due to my homelessness. I simply cannot afford to buy or rent a home, so I live in my vehicle to survive. They said since I could not provide a garaging address, my policy as well as my driving privileges could be canceled. I have been with Geico for fifteen years and I'm heartbroken and in jeopardy of losing my only home.

My experience with insurance providers during the past few years has been mediocre. They have all been reluctant to offer discounts for low-mileage drivers, and their customer service is often handled by artificial intelligence or offshore representatives who are not fluent in English.

It's been great when I needed roadside assistance and good when I needed to pay on a different date, but it went up $60 in a year. I feel like paying $160 a month for the coverage I get is a lot. To add more insurance, it goes up way too high. Other than that, I haven't had any problems.

To me, Geico has been more than helpful, reasonable, and fair. They have stood by me during three accidents, one serious, caused by another driver who ran a stop sign, totaled my vehicle, and sent me to the hospital. Another when a very large van slammed into the right side of my new 2025 Toyota and then fled the scene.

Every time I find a way to lower my premium, they raise it. One year, they increased my policy by 30% when their operational costs only went up by 8% for that year. I just bought a house and got homeowners insurance, which initially dropped my rate, but now it's going back up. I have no tickets, no DUIs, and I haven't had an accident that was my fault in two decades or a handwritten ticket by a police officer in probably 15 years. Yet, they still find a way to raise my policy.

We were with GEICO for 25 years, had 3 minor accidents with no injuries, and the repairs were minimal. They raised our rates astronomically, and no one cared to assist us despite our 25 years of loyalty. Go with Progressive; they have accident forgiveness.

It took over 3 weeks to get a repair estimate, then another 3 weeks for the repairs. A poor experience overall.

My experience with GEICO was fair, but after going through the whole year with a positive driving record, the new policy they offered me was more than $100 more than the previous 6 months. You need to do something about your app. I cannot log in to get my discounts, and I am very dissatisfied with that part of your service. Other than that, everything is good. I'm still unable to access the app.

Exceptionally mediocre. My rates just went up again. At this point, paying for GEICO is more than a car payment would be. It’s a crappy car that shouldn’t be expensive to insure. I pay for everything out of pocket anyway because I’m paranoid that if I don’t, I’ll be penalized by the insurance company. How much sense does that make? The thing that makes me dislike GEICO is that even if I repair my car out of pocket and continue paying the high premium, my rates still go up by $150. They have the worst automated help line! It's extremely difficult, and the system refuses to connect you to a human! I called on Friday to get a copy of my policy and didn't receive the email or the link until Saturday and early Sunday morning! I dislike dealing with the automated system!

They started out good, with monthly insurance payments. But they just sent me a renewal for 6 more months, and they raised my monthly payment by around $16. I haven't had any tickets or accidents that were my fault, so I will be going somewhere else.

I am being overcharged for car insurance, paying $243 a month for full coverage despite having been driving for over 20 years. I have been with Geico for 29 years. A lady backed into my little Elantra while I was sitting still at a Walgreens drive-thru. She was driving a Pilot SUV. She crumpled my hood, but she had no damage. No one was hurt. While she and a child were playing in the parking lot waiting for the officer to arrive, I took pictures and tried talking with her. She put her hand in my face without saying a word. I thought this woman was going to be trouble. It became clear very fast that this accident was a setup. A black truck came out of nowhere, and he was her witness. He was not on the scene at all. There were no tickets issued. Geico turned down the claim, and I was found not at fault. She sued Geico and got a settlement for $32,000. Four years and six months later, I'm still upset. This was a terrible injustice, and I am still paying an unfair amount for car insurance. The morning I was to give a deposition, I got a call from the court saying a settlement had been made!
