I've been a GEICO customer for twenty years and I have a great relationship with the company. I know you can't compete with them. Amen.

Geico is a good company. We’ve been with them for many years. Just a little pricey.

Overall excellent, except for the price. To date, when I started shopping, not one quote has beaten what I currently pay when comparing policy/price vs the same. Not one. I would not switch unless I see about 20% in savings.

The DriveEasy program sounds like a great resource, but the actual app tracking itself is really finicky, unreliable, and seems to assume that any hard braking, cornering issues, or speed variances are entirely the fault of the driver. It does not factor in the actual reality of responding to the driving environment around you, which ultimately might lead to poor or unfavorable scores so that the discount might not actually be all it's advertised to be.

I have had a great experience with GEICO. They were easy to contact and I got a great rate. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

As of now, Geico offers me the lowest price for my car insurance. Hopefully, they stay there.

I use the GEICO app and keep getting messages asking me to install the app. Lately, they’ve been asking me to pay about $7 for something I don’t understand. It’s been impossible to reach a phone agent to ask for an explanation.

Lowest insurance I can find.

I have not had any accidents or violations in 50 years, and yet my rates keep going up as my vehicle gets older. I feel like I'm being penalized for all the people who do have accidents and drive poorly. I drive less than 50 miles a month, and I'm paying far more than I need to. I had to drop comprehensive and collision coverage in order to make my rates affordable.

Geico does their best to give you the lowest car payments and coverage.

We have always had a very good experience with Geico. In general, their prices were always better than anyone we compared them to, and they offered the coverage we need at what I have always thought was a reasonable price. We have only made a few claims with them, but they have always been very prompt in responding to us and helping us handle the claims.

Great coverage and service, a little pricey.

They're very expensive, but when you have a problem they don't delay. Someone will contact you within hours of a claim being filed if it's during the weekdays. They don't reward their accident-free drivers with a decrease in payments, yet they will raise the price. I've been with them about 12-13 years and they have been easy to work with, just too darn expensive.

Good as long as you only have a car or a half-ton pickup. I unfortunately was part of an insurance scam, and they wanted me to put my farm truck on a commercial policy, tripling my insurance rate. So I had to go with Progressive, or I would still have Geico.

The rates are too high on a fixed income. If they get any higher, I will have to look elsewhere.

I believe I am overcharged. I have paid my premium regularly and on time for over six years, with no claims! When I called to see if I could get my rates reduced and add my son to my policy, they offered no help. I'm not a fan of Geico and would not recommend them!

I was with them for over 10 years. No claims, never missed a payment. No accidents, tickets, nothing in 40 years of driving. I was paying twice the amount I should have been paying. When I called to cancel, they said they would match the new company's rate. Why didn't they automatically adjust my payment to the best rate? Why is the customer supposed to review the price every 6 months?

The rates are on the high side.

I never had issues until I filed a claim. The adjuster, "Angel," was very unprofessional and incompetent, in my opinion. Otherwise, the service was very great.

I have never received a discount for being a loyal customer. I turned 60 and still no discount. No accidents or tickets, still no discounts. I don't drive much at all, and still no discount! I called them once asking about a lower price, and the man was rude to me. The very next day, he raised my premium! I'm going to find a different company. I just haven't had the time to do it.

If you switch to GEICO, only stay for one year. After that, rates hike and hike until you're paying triple what you started with by year 3. Every single claim, regardless of frequent driver, goes against you, even for a comprehensive claim which is never supposed to affect the rating class of other coverages. There is absolutely zero accident forgiveness, regardless of how minor the payout was. Steer clear of the misleading ads! Everything in GEICO ads only applies to your very first policy.

They are too expensive and keep going up in cost. They should provide discounts for long-term customers. This is the reason why we are searching for another car insurance provider.

Terrible would be an improvement. After 9 years as a customer in good standing, I have been treated with indifference to flat-out rudeness. Two months ago, my car was in a wreck, and I was not at fault. I still have not received payment. My adjuster changed three times without my being informed. The current adjuster responds whenever it suits her. Communication throughout the whole experience has been abysmal. No response to texts or emails. When calls are returned, I'm fed misinformation or flat-out lies. Still waiting for a check, but every time I reach out, I get no response. Look elsewhere for insurance.

GEICO made a mistake transcribing my VIN, putting me through a difficult time registering my car and causing the DMV to report lapses of insurance to credit bureaus. On top of that, they say I’m responsible for a change in the premium dating back to when they made the mistake. My GEICO agent blamed me for the mistake because my car purchase was at 7:00, after agency hours.

The cost kept rising even though I have an excellent driving record.

They told me roadside service was an added benefit. They never told me that using it was a "claim" against my account. Then my rate went up $200 a year right after a fender bender that wasn’t my fault. It was around a $1500 cosmetic repair. The other person was at fault and their insurance fully paid. Geico was out nothing. When I asked, I was told I had two claims in 30 days and insurance was due to go up anyway.

I didn't like their services over the last couple of years. The insurance cost went up for no apparent reason.

I had insurance with Geico for 15-20 years. I recently underpaid by $54. I got online to pay it 8 hours later, and to renew it they wanted to double my insurance rate. It went from $400-something to over $800. The customer service has really gone down over the years. I don't think they listen to customers anymore.

I moved to a rural area and my insurance went up because of the number of claims in the area. My rate was not based on my driving record. I have not had an insurance claim with GEICO in over 20 years. I should not pay more because Lakeside, California has drivers with higher claim rates.

They start you off with a good discount and rate, but the longer you stay with them, they increase your bill. When you call to find out why, they have an attitude like I should have known. Not only that, I barely use my car. I'm elderly, with no tickets or accidents, and I'm paying $1,400 a year. They also give you a quote but don't tell you it's only a 6-month term. It's crazy, and my car is 20 years old, so paying that price is unreasonable. I'm actively looking for a different insurance company now.

So far, I'm not thrilled. I feel cheated already. The first representative, before I bought the policy, was okay but needed a bit more training with customers. The second representative seemed knowledgeable and gave me a price. I paid in full the quote that was determined. I found out two months later that Geico added on another $101. Today, I got my credit card statement, and they posted a bill of $156. I will look for another company when I have the time. I will let this ride for a bit. Not happy at all.

We’ve had zero claims in the last 7 to 8 years, yet our insurance rates are nearly unsustainable as they have increased exponentially due to inflation or whatever they say. We bundled home and car to save, and our premiums have nearly doubled, so we’re going to find cheaper insurance. We’ve had Geico for about 15 years, so it’s hard to have to change, but they offer zero ideas to reduce the nearly $300 per month premiums. We’re retired, hardly drive, and it’s ridiculous to have to pay this much for 2 vehicles.

Cheaper than what you offer.

I did not have coverage very long with Geico when, on my way to a doctor's appointment, a truck quickly pulled in front of me, which did not have the right of way. The end result was that I hit the truck in the rear. In exchanging insurance information, I checked his truck over and over for any damages. Finally, he decided there were no damages or scratches. He, in fact, stated to me, "I do not find any damages whatsoever," and said, "I will let my employer know about the accident and notify them that there is no damage to the truck." The next thing I find out, 2-3 weeks later, is that a claim was filed for damages. I called Geico and spoke to an agent. He was surprised I did not know about the claim, as no one from Geico called me to find out the truth of the accident. He said he would have someone from Geico call me. I never got a call, but I received a letter stating a claim was filed and Geico was working on an agreeable amount. It stated they would contact me when settled. I never got said call and have never been asked my version, and it is presumed I am guilty. I actually had the right of way and NO damage was done. I still, to this day, do not know what Geico paid out. This was handled very poorly. Just because I am a senior does not justify not getting the truth of the accident.

I feel they are on the higher side. I don’t have any accidents, tickets, or DUIs, and I am paying more for insurance than I ever have.

I am not completely satisfied with my current auto insurance. Although I understand that insurance rates are rising, especially in New York State, I know that I could be paying less, and that is where my frustration lies. I'm close to paying nearly $300 a month for a multi-car policy for 2 vehicles that are more than 10 years old. I simply want to pay less for auto insurance to fit my monthly budget as I am a Geico customer of disabled status living on a fixed income.

My agent's name was Mary. When I joined Geico, I gave Mary my debit card information for my down payment. The next day, she sent me an email saying the information did not work, so I repeated the same debit card number directly from the card. I also gave her my checking account routing number and account number. Approximately a week later, I tried to use my debit card to pay my bills, but my debit card had been disabled for possible fraud due to the fact that Mary submitted my payment through an agency outside of the USA. This caused me delays in paying my monthly bills. I had to physically go to my credit union to be issued a new debit card. That caused delays in paying my obligations and late penalty fees. I am not happy with the agent's actions and procedures when she was not efficient in doing things correctly after being given correct information twice.

Once you're a client, they don't give you any incentive for being a loyal customer.
