I love their prices. I have full coverage on a 2002 Chevrolet Z28 Camaro and a 2006 Ford Econoline van. A price nobody can beat: $117.00 per month. It has a few exclusions, like hospital coverage, but I got roadside help. They are well built. It would take a boulder to crush them. No boulders in Georgia.

Mostly very good. I was taken by surprise by the "Roadside Assistance" rider on my policy that allowed only 3 assistance calls before the cost came out of my pocket. Firstly, no one told me about that little detail, and secondly, they actually left me stranded! I was angry and hurt. I have been with GEICO for many years.

I have had GEICO for my car insurance for 15 years. My policy recently went up almost $50 a month! And when I needed to actually use my insurance, when I got rear-ended by an uninsured driver, I had to do all of the work from phone calls to paperwork. It was like a full-time job.

I've been having a lot of issues with their app trying to register for their DriveEasy program to receive discounts. I called to report the issues, and you can never speak with a human being at Geico. It's always a chat box, and after 2 hours, I finally got through and then got disconnected.

They don't pay out what they should if a claim is made. They forced us to get a brand new roof when it was slightly damaged by a hurricane, and they would not pay us anything because they said our roof was almost 25 years old. It cost us $29,000 to replace the roof; otherwise, they told us they would no longer cover us.

To top it off, I called you after I obtained new insurance with another company. The person on the phone stated that I need to continue to pay my payments for the next 6 months no matter what. Absolutely horrible. I signed up for a policy, paid, and got my policy active. Terrific. However, 9 days in, I had to file a claim because I backed into a guardrail. That was my mistake. After filing the claim and getting it approved, Geico decided to either cancel my policy or triple my premium. They cited an elevated risk as the reason. I found it shady that they could just unilaterally pull the rug out from under me just for filing a claim.

If you have other options, I'd recommend considering them. Geico seems to cater to people who can't find regular insurance. I'm not sure how I ended up with this company. They initially lure you in with low insurance rates. I started at $85/month and am now paying $228 a few years later for a car that has numerous safety features. I have no accidents or tickets in over 50 years, no DUIs, and I drive less than 5,000 miles a year. They don't seem to take any of that into consideration. It appears that they base your insurance on the rest of the state and how many accidents, tickets, or claims they have. It doesn't seem to matter if you're a great driver. It's frustrating that the insurance rates of responsible drivers are affected by those who cause accidents or get tickets. I can't think of any positives about this company.

They're a good company if you have plenty of money. They don't offer any discounts or breaks. When you file a claim, it takes them forever to process it. They tend to ignore big claims altogether. They don't give you enough money back on your claim to repair what you have damaged. They always opt for the cheapest route.

For example, I signed up for auto pay to keep my full coverage rate at $1,300 twice a year, but it still went up to $1,600 without any means to discuss the issue with a live service representative. All attempts to speak with someone were thwarted and obfuscated by voice menu directives.

Beware of the auto-pay feature and make sure to read the fine print.
