I have a good experience with Geico. It's very affordable, and that's what a lot of people are looking for. My tip is if car insurance were lower, the insurance companies would have more customers, which would equal more money for the companies. Definitely, I would refer Geico to anyone; just give it a try.

They're a good company, but they kind of lowballed my car's value after it got totaled.

I would be honest and tell my friends that Geico is excellent to work with, especially when it comes to processing claims!

GEICO, when I contacted them directly and not through an online rate quote service, was very well priced—considerably lower than other offers and included uninsured/underinsured coverage where others had not. I was so impressed with the rates and the full explanation I was given about the policy that I paid in full.

I always put GEICO down because of the commercials and the one time 20 years ago I tried to get insurance from them, they were so much more than what I was paying. I figured, okay, it couldn't hurt to check them again; it's been 20 years and my current insurance was ridiculous in price. I checked with GEICO and I seriously thought this was a misprint. I checked and checked again, and they saved me $630 for 6 months over what I was paying before. The amount I save in a year is almost the amount I was paying for 6 months with my old insurance. I am so glad I got over myself and decided to keep an open mind. Thank you, GEICO.

Go with Geico because they are the lowest priced.

We have had Geico now for over 10 years and have been pleased with the overall service, but unless our kids went off our insurance policy, our rates never went down, no matter what additional discounts we added on. Now we are down to three people and are still paying close to $750/month, so we started to get quotes for a better rate since longevity or loyalty does not get us any perks.

I entered the correct expiration date myself online with their agent on the phone with me. The agency had been using my updated card for several months for my homeowners insurance. I did not realize until the state sent a letter with a notice that I was driving without car insurance, resulting in a $25 fine. This resulted in a lapse of coverage, my first since I started driving at 14. This will cost me $500+ over 5 years.

I went in looking to lower my rate with the same coverage. Geico had the lowest. The only other one was USAA, and they were the same.

Make sure all coverages are correct and then compare prices. Geico was the lowest.

After 6 months, I switched to a company (a large insurance company) that offered a lower price with more coverage. I believe they should value their customers and at least try to match the offer, but they didn't. I would have stayed with Geico if they had the same price as their competitor.

It has been a positive experience.

We've been with them for 35 years and overall very pleased with the service. As of late, the customer service has fallen off and we haven't seen a decrease in our policy even with our perfect driving record and we've never been late on our payments. We, my wife and I, feel it's past time to shop around.

All attempts to speak with someone were thwarted and obfuscated by voice menu directives.

Beware of the auto-pay feature and make sure to read the fine print.

However, after Warren Buffet purchased the company, it has become nothing but a profit-driven business. They don't seem to care about your safe driving record or loyalty of 8 years.
