Geico has friendly customer service all the time.

Good as long as you only have a car or a half-ton pickup. I unfortunately was part of an insurance scam, and they wanted me to put my farm truck on a commercial policy, tripling my insurance rate. So I had to go with Progressive, or I would still have Geico.

Expensive. I have no accidents, no speeding tickets, I'm a disabled veteran, and I'm over 58 years old. I think my policy should be cheaper than what I'm paying.

I've been with this company for years, and because I made one claim, my rate went up.

I like the GEICO plan. I think they are a bit high in price, but I guess you get what you pay for. I’m glad I have full coverage now. I had no idea I didn’t have full coverage, and when I was in my accident, I was very surprised that the agent I opened my policy with didn’t get me full coverage like I had with my last policy. Live and learn, I guess.

I feel it's good, however, it could be better.

My policy renewal increased by over $100 for no reason. I haven't gotten a ticket or been in an accident. I have the safe drive app, but there's misinformation when using it. I train drivers, so most of the time I'm not driving when using my phone, and it's too much trouble trying to adjust whether I'm driving or not.

Good on claims.

First, always shop around so when you speak with their rep, you have an idea of the prices at the moment. The reps at Geico are very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. So, once you have an idea of the price range you're looking for, don't be afraid to ask the rep questions and try to get to your desired price if possible.

My current insurance is okay, but the premium payment seems to be creeping upwards. Other than that, nothing negative to report.

It was reasonable and affordable for a senior when I switched to it over 10 years ago. Currently, as a senior with a good driving record, no accidents, and no moving violations, it’s discouraging to find my rates climbing up instead of going down, which I was led to believe they would.

My policy doubled due to a parking issue. I was parallel parking and scraped the car behind me. It was my fault. But doubling my policy payment? I've been a customer for over thirty years. I owed the man behind me honesty, so I left a note on his windshield. However, the hike in my premiums is making it almost unaffordable to keep the car. They have been a good insurance company for the thirty-plus years I have enjoyed their coverage. I trust them. They send a locksmith or a battery jump when needed over the years. Two of my three adult children also use them.

They are a very good company, but they are high-priced. However, all insurance companies are very high-priced for Las Vegas, Nevada.

Not great. The price was really too high in the beginning. Now they want to increase it because one person doesn’t use the Drive Easy app, as it’s too hard to stay connected to it.

They keep increasing premiums. Now, after 5 years, they are hundreds of dollars more.

Unreal how long it took to even get through the process. First, I had to take pictures. For some reason, they don’t send anybody to look at your car anymore. That took a day. Then I had to email everything to some office, and it took four days for that person to get back to me. Another afternoon and the next day to get a Rent-A-Car. Also, it was almost impossible to pick a car. I ended up having to spend 20 extra dollars a day because it was a larger car. Today, the process has taken almost 2 weeks, the car is in a shop, and no one from GEICO has called me for over a week. Really a very bad experience with GEICO. I’ve been a customer for 30 years at least, and I’ve never experienced this lack of care from anyone else.

They unfairly raised the price without notifying me, and my payment ended up being around $300, leading to a cancellation.

Things started out well with a good price for the vehicle coverage. The problem arose after my son was involved in a no-fault accident where he was struck by another driver. Geico paid a claim to have the vehicle repaired but failed to pursue the other driver who had run the traffic light. Then, out of nowhere, they dropped coverage for the vehicle, citing the accident as the reason. After years of payments without ever being late or missing a payment, this is how they treat a long-valued customer. It shows no loyalty from the company.

I have had to make two customer service calls, and they were great! The app is very easy to navigate and understand.

It is too high considering I have no DUIs, no accidents, no claims. I've just been paying a lot of money, and I'm thankful I've never had an accident or anything, but I think I should get a better plan than what they're giving me. As far as money-wise, they're charging me too much for my plan. I have found a couple of other options that save a little bit more, but I've been with Geico for almost 30 years, and they're doing me this way.

GEICO is unbelievable with their rates. We have a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2014 GMC Terrain. My husband drives approximately 2 miles one way four times a week to work. My Terrain hardly ever leaves the yard. I’m retired, so it only goes when I need to go shopping, which is maybe 4 miles from us on occasion. We currently pay $173 a month for these vehicles. My husband has no tickets. I have a ticket from approximately three years ago when I was backing out of a parking space and a lady came around the corner real fast and hit me, so I’m assuming this charges against me. But anyway, I’m very unhappy with them.

I've had 3 increases in the first month of my policy. I canceled and moved back to my previous insurance company, which even lowered my previous rate, and my monthly payment decreased by over $80 a month on a 6-month policy. I was with GEICO over 6 years ago for 7 years with excellent coverage and customer service. I'm highly disappointed with the present GEICO.

Rates every six months are much higher.

I was quoted $210 per month, but since then the cost has increased to over $500 with no explanation. I've repeatedly sent messages but received no response.

Customer service is lacking. You have a better chance of driving 10 miles on any interstate and not seeing a bad driver than getting to talk to a real person. The AI is what you interact with. Prices keep going up even though I've never had a claim. Why?

I believe I am overcharged. I have paid my premium regularly and on time for over six years, with no claims! When I called to see if I could get my rates reduced and add my son to my policy, they offered no help. I'm not a fan of Geico and would not recommend them!

When I called to cancel, they said they would match the new company's rate. Why didn't they automatically adjust my payment to the best rate? The rates are on the high side.

I never had issues until I filed a claim. The adjuster, "Angel," was very unprofessional and incompetent, in my opinion. Otherwise, the service was very great.

I have never received a discount for being a loyal customer. I turned 60 and still no discount. No accidents or tickets, still no discounts. I don't drive much at all, and still no discount! I called them once asking about a lower price, and the man was rude to me. The very next day, he raised my premium! I'm going to find a different company. I just haven't had the time to do it.

Sending cancellation notices half a month in advance. I've been a faithful customer for at least six years. Rates went up.

If you switch to GEICO, only stay for one year. After that, rates hike and hike until you're paying triple what you started with by year 3. Every single claim, regardless of frequent driver, goes against you, even for a comprehensive claim which is never supposed to affect the rating class of other coverages. There is absolutely zero accident forgiveness, regardless of how minor the payout was. Steer clear of the misleading ads! Everything in GEICO ads only applies to your very first policy.

They are too expensive and keep going up in cost. They should provide discounts for long-term customers. This is the reason why we are searching for another car insurance provider.

Terrible would be an improvement. After 9 years as a customer in good standing, I have been treated with indifference to flat-out rudeness. Two months ago, my car was in a wreck, and I was not at fault. I still have not received payment. My adjuster changed three times without my being informed. The current adjuster responds whenever it suits her. Communication throughout the whole experience has been abysmal. No response to texts or emails. When calls are returned, I'm fed misinformation or flat-out lies. Still waiting for a check, but every time I reach out, I get no response. Look elsewhere for insurance.

GEICO made a mistake transcribing my VIN, putting me through a difficult time registering my car and causing the DMV to report lapses of insurance to credit bureaus. On top of that, they say I’m responsible for a change in the premium dating back to when they made the mistake. My GEICO agent blamed me for the mistake because my car purchase was at 7:00, after agency hours.

The cost kept rising even though I have an excellent driving record.

They told me roadside service was an added benefit. They never told me that using it was a "claim" against my account. Then my rate went up $200 a year right after a fender bender that wasn’t my fault. It was around a $1500 cosmetic repair. The other person was at fault and their insurance fully paid. Geico was out nothing. When I asked, I was told I had two claims in 30 days and insurance was due to go up anyway.

I didn't like their services over the last couple of years. The insurance cost went up for no apparent reason.

Find a more reasonable carrier; rates are escalating.

I had insurance with Geico for 15-20 years. I recently underpaid by $54. I got online to pay it 8 hours later, and to renew it they wanted to double my insurance rate. It went from $400-something to over $800. The customer service has really gone down over the years. I don't think they listen to customers anymore.

I moved to a rural area and my insurance went up because of the number of claims in the area. My rate was not based on my driving record. I have not had an insurance claim with GEICO in over 20 years. I should not pay more because Lakeside, California has drivers with higher claim rates.

They start you off with a good discount and rate, but the longer you stay with them, they increase your bill. When you call to find out why, they have an attitude like I should have known. Not only that, I barely use my car. I'm elderly, with no tickets or accidents, and I'm paying $1,400 a year. They also give you a quote but don't tell you it's only a 6-month term. It's crazy, and my car is 20 years old, so paying that price is unreasonable. I'm actively looking for a different insurance company now.

So far, I'm not thrilled. I feel cheated already. The first representative, before I bought the policy, was okay but needed a bit more training with customers. The second representative seemed knowledgeable and gave me a price. I paid in full the quote that was determined. I found out two months later that Geico added on another $101. Today, I got my credit card statement, and they posted a bill of $156. I will look for another company when I have the time. I will let this ride for a bit. Not happy at all.

We’ve had zero claims in the last 7 to 8 years, yet our insurance rates are nearly unsustainable as they have increased exponentially due to inflation or whatever they say. We bundled home and car to save, and our premiums have nearly doubled, so we’re going to find cheaper insurance. We’ve had Geico for about 15 years, so it’s hard to have to change, but they offer zero ideas to reduce the nearly $300 per month premiums. We’re retired, hardly drive, and it’s ridiculous to have to pay this much for 2 vehicles.
