I've never had a problem with them. I understand that there are discounts for multiple vehicles on a policy, but they tried to raise my policy rate by $200. When I expressed my dissatisfaction and threatened to switch to another company, they quickly adjusted the rate. However, it's still more than what I was previously paying. I asked them to just put the other vehicle back on the insurance, but they refused.

I've had my car insurance paid through my employer for over 18 years. To sum it up quickly, my company recently switched to Farmers, which is by far the worst insurance policy I've ever had. Despite having no accidents or claims in eighteen years, this company constantly raises the rates for no apparent reason and won't even cover a tow for more than two blocks. I could go on about how dissatisfied I am, but instead, I'll just look for insurance elsewhere.

The staff was unprofessional with poor follow-up. I was with Farmers for over 20 years. My agent in Washington was very attentive to my policies and recommended changes as needed. However, the agent in Henderson, NV seemed more interested in their paycheck than providing good service, and the staff seemed to lack proper training and professionalism. I have since switched to Progressive. The agent there was friendly, recommended policy options, and was professional. Plus, it reduced my premium by half.

The double down payment is way too high. My agent called me the day after I had a terrible experience with my car breaking down on a busy intersection in Las Vegas in 114-degree weather. I did nothing to cause this breakdown and walked to a safe place to prevent heat exhaustion. I was unable to find the correct number for roadside assistance and called my agent numerous times just for the phone number. My agent reported that he heard my frantic phone messages and ignored all of them because it was 4:30 pm. The next day, my agent phoned me and was angry at me for bothering him with such petty concerns at 4:30pm. He threatened to dismiss me as a client and drop my towing insurance. The conversation was difficult to listen to and very concerning. The towing experience was not great either. The driver's ETA kept changing, he did not answer any of my phone calls, and the sheriff ordered a tow as the vehicle was blocking traffic. The car was towed to Quality Towing. The Farmer's driver never called me back and never showed up. I had to pay $540 to release my vehicle. I feel like I am not the customer with Farmers, in fact it feels just the opposite.

For a 6-month installment plan, the payment is 2 months upfront, then monthly. My rate was increased. I couldn't pay all because of the fees but managed over time. Truly awful. After my policy was switched from MetLife to Farmers, I experienced nothing but problems. The worst of which was when I notified them of my 2023 car, purchased new, they never added collision to my policy which previously covered a 16-year-old car. I kept asking why the premium was remaining so low and it took them 6 months to figure out that collision hadn't been added. It was actually me who finally pointed it out to them. They have the worst trained employees I have ever encountered across all industries, including McDonald's.
