Farmers was the best until I got a DUI.

This change was communicated through mail, which I didn't appreciate. I don't like change; I prefer knowing who I'm dealing with. They knew me by name and took great care of me. They didn't charge me late fees for every little thing. I remember once I called to ask if my insurance was paid. I was told yes, only to be charged twice the next month because they told me I had already paid it. You're supposed to trust your insurance agent, right? But now, with late fees and everything else on top of it, it's ridiculous. There's no customer service, it's all business. In my opinion, that's not how you retain clients. So, I may be looking for another insurance agent. Have a good day.

Having to pay for two months upfront to renew, despite being a customer for over five years, seems unreasonable to me. Additionally, the requirement to upload six photos of your vehicle(s), a copy of your driver's license, vehicle registration, and purchase contract is the final straw.

I wouldn't recommend using Farmers. My agent transferred my policy to another agent in Orange County. The communication was very poor, with slow email responses and it took weeks to get proof of insurance. I also feel that I was severely overcharged.

I pay a lot of money for a policy.

I'm paying too much for auto insurance. I only have 36,000 miles on my 2012 Nissan Exterra and I don't drive much. I would appreciate it if my payments could be lowered.

My vehicle was declared a total loss by my insurance company. They initially offered me $1400 for my van, which was not nearly enough. I was referred to Justin at The Body Shop Appraiser and he was able to negotiate my insurance company up to $6800 for my van. Now, I will be able to find another vehicle. With $1400, I wouldn't have been able to. I highly recommend The Body Shop Appraiser if you have a total loss. The insurance company seemed to be taking advantage and oppressing people. Even after agreeing to the increased amount, they wanted to deduct costs like storage and towing. This company doesn't even deserve a single star. It makes me wonder what the insurance board is doing about such companies. You can draw your own conclusions based on my experience.

I was a MetLife customer until they were acquired by Farmers. Since the takeover, Farmers has increased my rates twice. My monthly payment used to be around $60, but now it's $89 for the same coverage. Despite having an almost flawless driving record with no moving violations in over 20 years, and only two tickets since 1980, it seems being an older driver with a good record doesn't count for much.

I was very lucky when I first joined Farmers. I had Jerry Melvin until he retired, then I got Larry Pace. They pushed him out because of his age. After him, I got the junk agents. Farmers only looks out for themselves.
