I really hated to leave the Allstate Milewise program, but my son bought a new car and needed to insure it for a lesser amount.

Very professional.

Fair deal

It's a fair deal.

They were friendly. I wanted to pay monthly, but I guess I was misunderstood. After I made the change, an agent from Allstate called and assured me I could go monthly. Too late. Oh well, I returned to State Farm with whom I had been my whole life.

Allstate was fine until they raised my rates this year. I've never had a claim, and they did the same with my homeowner's insurance. I've never had a claim there either, so I had to shop around because I needed to save money somewhere.

There were problems getting the correct amount paid out when I made a claim. I had to escalate the issue to the Senior Vice President to get a proper settlement when a deer hit my truck. There was a $5000 difference between what was paid out when the estimator assessed the value of damage to my truck and the actual estimate done by a local car dealership. The Senior Vice President agreed that the amount of damage done was the amount quoted by the local car dealership.

Check around before choosing. Allstate has been my choice for years.

I've been a faithful customer, but I don't get enough of a break on coverages when there is rarely, if ever, a claim.

They are alright, but for no apparent reason, my insurance went up by $100 a month. I have had no accidents or tickets, and it is becoming unaffordable.

I don't appreciate that I can't opt out of automatic checking. When I make online purchases, my bank often shuts down my card until I call them or get a new one. Consequently, when my insurance payment is due, it won't accept the new card. I also need a new card sent to me. Thanks.

I don't drive my car every day, so why does the Drive Wise need to be on?

They provide good customer service when claims are filed. However, their prices are not competitive and they are inflexible when asked to negotiate. I wonder why they are so much higher than other companies for the exact same coverage. They offered to reduce coverage to lower the cost. But why would anyone do that?

I'm considering a change because I have a very high deductible and lack substantial coverage.

I think the overall price for coverage is too high. I have 4 vehicles and only 2 drivers. One of those drivers hardly leaves the house unless she is with me, so we don't drive all 4 all the time. I understand the problems with all the lost vehicles and claims, but I don't feel I should have to foot the bill on the vehicles I have that only have liability. I also think you should give a discount for customers that have been loyal and long-lasting customers. Instead, our premiums go up every six months. As far as the ability to file a claim, you're pretty good.

I was not treated fairly by some of the individuals in the claims department. I had a legitimate claim that the adjuster was aware of, yet I was given low settlement offers. Interestingly, my next-door neighbor had the same policy and identical damages, but they were offered and settled for four times the amount I was offered. This was not a pleasant experience at all. I am more than willing to provide a detailed report if you are interested.

I don't appreciate the underwriters making conclusions about circumstances that a client was not aware of. They ended up not renewing the policy, forcing their client to find someone else. Just for liability insurance, it cost $700 a month.

I was denied renewal for my policy coming up in February. I was advised to contact all the minor consumer reporting companies and request them not to report to the three major credit bureaus. I started with LexisNexis. Before I could get to the others, I received a letter from LexisNexis stating they would no longer be reporting. On the same day, I also received a non-renewal notice from Allstate. Interestingly, the notice stated that the consumer reporting at LexisNexis did not influence their decision. It's quite a coincidence that I receive a non-renewal notice on the same day as LexisNexis's letter.

I have been with Allstate for over 50 years, but their extremely high rates are turning me towards other companies.

They doubled their policy for the following year. When I called them about it, they said there was nothing they could do. That's just the way it is.

I am extremely displeased with Allstate. I feel like I'm being penalized for an accident that wasn't my fault. They compensated me for the accident, but then increased my rates by the same amount they paid out. Furthermore, the service provided by Jeff Tucket's team, particularly Deanna and Krista, has been subpar. Krista sold me a home policy with promises she couldn't keep, and I regret switching from my previous home insurance. Allstate couldn't even match the same coverages. The only competent person there seems to be Zach Perry, who goes above and beyond to assist his clients. Deanna, or Dianna, made mistakes on my policy and when I asked to speak to her boss, Jeff, she made disparaging comments about him. I was surprised by her unprofessionalism. I am now looking for a new insurance company as Allstate keeps raising their prices.

When I got insurance for my truck, which is almost 20 years old, the cost was too high. I was charged $500 for six months, which I find ridiculous. I was never informed that I had to sign anything to decline uninsured motorist coverage, and now I'm being charged for something I didn't want from the start. My representative, Domingo, hasn't responded to my emails or calls to answer my questions. I've called six times, left messages, and emailed four times. His only response to the email is that he's not in the office. I've been trying to reach him for six months with no response. In my opinion, he shouldn't be in that position. After taking my money, he seems to have ignored me, which I find very unprofessional.

I have been with this company since I was 27. However, since it changed hands, the service has been very poor. They dropped my car coverage to an amount I can't afford at 69 years of age, especially since my husband left me. I am now looking to switch both my home and car insurance to another company.

Overall, I'm unhappy with the company. They told me my rate was dropping and it hasn't dropped yet. They told me it would take six months, and it's been six months.

I was very disappointed when they raised my rate by $160.00 because I bought a new home. They said it was based on zip code, which I find hard to believe.

Allstate is a good company, but they do not provide a significant enough discount for seniors who drive under 5000 miles a year. This is considering that the mileage is for two vehicles in total.

She admitted knowing about my cancellation request, yet they didn't cancel the policy and took my money anyway. I plan to forward a letter like this to the Florida Insurance Commissioner.

Look for an insurance that gives you a fair quote, not one based on the agent's commission.

In January of this year, I paid my monthly payment of $100. However, in February, my payment increased to $140 for the rest of the year. I only average 15 miles a week, yet they want me to pay $113 a month for a 2012 Chevy Equinox LT, all-wheel drive, 4 cylinder.

There's nothing special about this service. I never hear from or speak to an agent unless I initiate the call.
