It's really nice to speak to a familiar person who knows the ins and outs of my account. I've been with discount insurance groups where you call a switchboard, and a person reads from a script, which is just frustrating. Allstate has been a refreshing wake-up experience.

I didn't have a claim while I was with Allstate. I thought they were pretty good until I received a $60 monthly payment increase. I gave them an opportunity to explain why, but after a 45-minute chat with three people, no one could explain the reason for the increase. So, I decided to look for another insurer.

Every renewal, the rates increased exponentially! I called the agent, but very little was done to resolve the overages, even after being a good customer for over 5 years.

I need a lower cost. Since the state is lowering the cost for drivers over 55, I qualify and am a good driver.

Allstate's premiums are higher than some of their competitors. Granted, I've been with this insurer for more than 30 years. Their claims response is great. I just can't afford what I am being charged for a car that is 11 years old.

I had one claim in 50 years and it was handled extremely poorly. They hired contractors without my approval who damaged my house. I had to pay an additional $39,000 out of pocket and then they dropped me since I had a second small claim.

However, when we added a third driver and our second child got their license, the premium became very high. The premiums consistently increased every 6 months. They even eliminated the Drive Wise credit, leaving no credit. It seems they don't really value their good customers. This could be perceived as corporate greed at its peak.

I'm not satisfied with my brokerage. When I requested a change, the company denied it. I prefer dealing with a local brokerage, not someone I can't see or know, or understand their office hours. Additionally, there's a record on my daughter's driving history that I'm trying to remove. This process is taking too long, allowing the company to charge me an extra rate. Due to the poor service, I plan to leave this company.

The premiums are skyrocketing with terrible coverage. If you need to make a claim, good luck. They offered to repair only three shingles after extensive storm damage, and it took them six months. Every contractor I've spoken to says they are the worst.

At first, they were great. However, when I went to make a claim due to a hurricane, I got the shock of my life! They denied my claim for food that went bad because we were without power for over a week. They also informed me that I have a $2500.00 deductible. I got this policy for my home and just assumed that they were matching the numbers from my previous company, which had only a $500.00 deductible.

Consider looking for another company. They consistently raise your rates every time it's time to renew your policy.
