They are sticking to their original inspector's guess (from when I bought the house 3 years ago) that this house still has the original roof (28 years old). Google Earth Historical Imagery clearly shows that the roof was replaced 8 years ago. This means they will only cover my roof at 25% of the replacement cost, as opposed to the 76% that they should be covering it. They insist on seeing an invoice to prove that the work was done, which I have been unable to obtain from the previous owner. Why would I renew with a company that is proving they will not fully cover me, especially on the most likely part of the policy that I will need in the future?

I was with Allstate for 8 years, but they kept raising my rate! It used to be below $153, then it increased to $153, then $163, and finally $190. I can't afford that. I have no accidents on my record, except for a hit and run incident where the person caused no damage to my car, only leaving a white powder that I dusted off. I informed my agent at Allstate, Jane, about this. Despite having no tickets and no damages, I couldn't afford their insurance prices. This month, I switched to Progressive. However, they required my daughter's signature on some documents, which I found unlawful as I'm the only policyholder. They also increased my insurance to $232. It feels like everyone is trying to take my money. Neither Allstate nor anyone else would fix my windshield, which would cost $1,000 because a homeless person damaged it. I'm struggling to find suitable insurance, especially since my car is financed. On top of that, I'm homeless because no one will rent an apartment to me due to my $1,300 in bills, despite earning $4,000 a month. It's frustrating that there seems to be a bias against people based on their credit scores.
