I’d like to say thank you for letting me know, even though you didn’t inform me. I called to find out why my insurance is so high. I’ve been offered some other insurance companies to lower my insurance, and this is one way I can lower it by taking her off. Thank you.

Allstate has always been good for me. I left twice, and both times were mistakes.

I need better rates, and when you file a claim, in 3 years you go up. The reason you have insurance is to use it when you need it. 1 in 3 years is not excessive; 3 in 3 would be. You want money for nothing, and as long as you never file a claim, you are a golden client...but file a claim, and you are somehow a liability.

I have no problem with Allstate except for a boat claim. For some reason, you have to report it through their auto claim, and most of the info makes no sense for a boat claim! In the end, it all works out.

I’ve had no issues communicating with my Allstate agent. I naively believed they would always look for the best rates for me. When I started shopping, I saw that wasn’t the case. I think it’s the company policy and not the local agents.

Terrible service. They do everything they can to rip you off on a claim. I had a quote to repair damage on my car for $2,435, but their quote to repair, based on pictures of the damage, was $500. How do you repair that kind of damage on a BMW for $500? Pure rip-off. I plan on canceling my policy when renewal time comes up.

Not good. I'm now looking to change to another company because I switched vehicles. I was in a 2001. Now I'm in a 2000. Same type of vehicle. Rates went up $30. No tickets. No DUIs. Nothing changed except the price went up 30 bucks a month.

Our experience was good until we changed cars. The new car was close in cost for coverage, but our other costs increased because of the change. That’s why we’re leaving Allstate and have found insurance elsewhere.

Allstate’s prices are about double those of other companies for the same coverage.

When I called them, they informed me about my payment. When I mentioned that I have LoJack, they said they do not accept that.

They charge $68 a month when I'm out of town up north, and increase it to $140 when I come down to use it once a week to go shopping. It feels unfair.

They sent my auto insurance policy that I purchased in October 2025 along with my monthly premium for the next six months, which was $128+. I had a November payment of $128+. In December, my payment jumped to $160.00. I cancelled and got a better insurance.

The price keeps going up. I only drive about 100 miles a month on average.

My Allstate experience was great until my agent retired. My policy was moved to someone significantly further away, even though there was an agent closer. I couldn't get a quote online after being told by them to do it online, and my policy is about 30% higher than most. On top of everything, it's all outsourced and no one speaks English.

I never receive calls about updates or increases. I've been a loyal customer for over 40 years. Safeco is a great company for auto insurance, but I had a bad experience with their homeowners insurance. I had hail damage three years ago, and they did not pay anything. I was disappointed with their service.

The rates go up every 6 months when the policy renews. The only way you can get any kind of break is by allowing them to track your every move while driving and do everything by computer. I guess they are trying to save trees.

The local agent won’t contact you back. My home insurance still lists my windows and doors as wood. They’re not helpful. And don’t get me started on Drivewise. With technology these days, I shouldn’t have to tell the app I’m not driving when I’m not in my vehicle. A Bluetooth connection should know the name of my car. I’m not doing it.

Allstate is horrible—I had them for almost 20 years. They canceled my policy because we had four claims in the last three years, three of which were in the last year, but we weren’t at fault. After collecting over $150,000 from me, they dropped me because it cost them a few bucks.

Good customer service, but comparing identical coverages with multiple other major car insurers, even with a homeowners insurance discount we can't get from other companies without also changing homeowners insurance, Allstate is a little more expensive. They won't insure on Long Island unless you are more than 2 miles away from water. That's over 600 miles of Long Island!

Increases every 6 months without any claims and unsatisfactory explanations. Premiums used to be based on personal claims; not anymore. The same is true with homeowners.

They renew the policy but never call you to review the new policy and explain why your rates are being raised.

We recently made our first claim in 30 years. We had hail damage from a huge storm with high winds and golf ball-sized hail! The claim was made at the end of September, yet it is 11/22 today, and we haven’t heard a word since the roofers put on the new roof 3 weeks ago! The communication is horrible, and they said they would give us 88% of a new roof! Now we are sitting in limbo, waiting for something to happen after a horrible experience with the roofers, who tried to do the new roof in the dark!

I haven’t filed a claim in the last 10 years. I think your insurance should go down when you’re driving only 50 miles a week. I’ve been carrying my daughter for the last four years, paying $95 for her insurance. I called them to find out why my insurance was so high and told them my daughter lived in New York and that’s where the car is. I’ve been paying on that for the last five years, which is money wasted because I can’t use the insurance in New York if she has an accident. I think they should check your insurance to see how many people are still driving and on your insurance. Age should have something to do with it too. I’m 80 and still paying over $2000 a year. I know my house insurance is included, but my car insurance is more. I’m trying to cut back on some bills, and your insurance should be one of them if you don’t drive much. If you haven’t had an accident in over three years, your insurance should go down.

The due date changes way too often. I had to stop an auto payment as they were going to take money 2 weeks earlier than normal. I was told an amount and that went up as well.

Way too expensive! We are a retired couple who drive our two vehicles approximately 7,500 miles a year each. One is a 2001 Dodge 2500 Ram pickup, and the other is a 2018 Toyota 4Runner. Both are paid off, no DUIs, no tickets, both college-educated, and the only claims have been for rocks going through the pickup window. We both have excellent credit scores and have never missed a premium. No breaks given to us, only high premiums. And we bundled our boat, 5th wheel, and house. What a rip-off!

Extremely high rates are my main concern, being that I am a senior and retired.
