I would recommend this service to a friend or another service member, but it didn't do much for us except charge a lot of money. I've been driving since I was 16 years old. My car broke down about a year ago and I thought there was no need to have insurance. That's what they're basing their rates on and it's quite expensive.

It seems unfair that they are happy to take my hard-earned money for insurance, but don't provide a secure place for me to keep my money. I wouldn't recommend banking with them; consider Navy Federal instead.

I was with them for over a year. Every phone call I ever made to them took well over an hour. Their customer service representatives are rude. No matter how many times I verified my information, all my details ended up on my dad's account. I'm 47 years old and haven't lived with my dad since I was 6. Even when I had a claim, they put it under his insurance and then denied the claim because he told them he hadn't been involved in an accident. After I called to rectify the situation, they denied the claim anyway, even though they made the mistake. I would not recommend them to anyone.

There's a trust factor, especially for senior citizens who are on a very low fixed income. You would expect that the rate you set for them would last at least for a 6-month policy period, not change every 90 days. There's absolutely nothing left after all monthly bills are met.

Less time waiting to talk to a human. More confidence with the cost of insurance compared to other companies. USAA has always been the best insurance, but with the current state of the economy, other companies are less expensive for the same coverage.
