It was great when I had my car and condominium insurance combined. However, I missed a payment on my condominium, and now I'm having a hard time getting new insurance. I've been with Nationwide for many years. Plus, I bought a new car, so I can't believe I couldn't resolve my problem. Everyone said, 'Sorry, Sharyn, we can't do anything.' I keep asking if my insurance carrier has heard any good news, but not as of this date. Please let me know if you are ever combining insurances again. Thank you.

Nationwide is a good insurance company, but I'm looking for a cheaper place with the same coverage. My premiums increase every 6 months for no apparent reason. I haven't had any accidents, tickets, DUIs, or anything else. I used to wonder why a policy went to 6 months instead of 12, but I finally figured it out. They can raise your coverage twice in a year, which seems very unfair. I'm retired.

Nationwide is horrible! I've been a customer for four years and never had an accident. I called for service because my car tire was flat. They outsourced the job to a third party. Before changing the tire, he broke my spare tire cover, to my shock, and then proceeded to break a slug. It's been three months and Nationwide has not reimbursed me for the damages. Their customer service is non-existent. Their business is scattered and no one knows how to manage. THEY ARE AWFUL... Nationwide is NOT on your side...I'm looking for new insurance.

The rates were too high! The customer service was good until I found a better rate and requested my policy to be canceled immediately since the rates had increased and I found a cheaper policy. Kayla at Nationwide responded that she was on her way out the door for a two-week vacation and I received no further communication from her. I will inform my bank to not accept a request for payment to them. I am now with Allstate Insurance.

I had Nationwide for auto coverage, and also had my home coverage tied in with my umbrella coverage. After nearly a year, I received notice that Nationwide had approached the person who did the original appraisal, and requested them to do a re-evaluation. I was then told by Nationwide that they discovered the original evaluation was reported at a level that was 7% lower than the most recent evaluation. Nationwide mentioned that they would have to modify the existing terms and premium that had been offered to me a year earlier. Their way to fix the auditor's inaccuracy of 7%, was to increase my premium for home and umbrella coverage by bumping the premium up over 400%! I found that action to be outrageous. Instead of having the auditors improve their valuation methods and switching auditors, they chose a horrible business practice. I immediately dropped all policies with Nationwide, and will never consider doing any business with them in the future.
