Five stars. They are fabulous at doing right by their customers, making sure you receive every discount you're entitled to as a senior citizen! They offer even more savings through an app for driving, verifying your low mileage (of short distances), which gives you a nice percentage taken off your annual policy. You get exactly what you ask for and they never overload you with extras you do not need. I love the awareness of my auto insurance. Thank you, Liberty Mutual. It's almost time for my renewal and I wouldn't look any further. I'm satisfied for sure!

Liberty Mutual insurance was great. My monthly premium was so affordable. Greg Quimby has been excellent. He is the representative for my area and he helps me with everything that I need. He has gotten me discounts for things that I wouldn't even have thought to ask for. Even now that I only have the renters insurance and had to switch car insurance over to Progressive, he has been very helpful. I needed a form for the DMV from the insurance company and instead of waiting long wait times on the phone with a representative, he got them for me with no problem. He has honestly made my experience super easy. If I hadn't messed up my payments with Liberty Mutual and was able to keep the policy, I definitely would have.

They provided fast road service.

They are okay, but I encountered an issue when I tried to pay my bill after changing my credit card. Despite giving them my new card number, they didn't process the payment and now they want to charge me a late fee. They also wanted me to mail in the payment. When you're on a fixed income, every extra dollar counts. I am sending their money in today via a money order and need to consider whether I will continue to use their services.

Customer service takes forever to get a hold of, and I have been passed around multiple times to get to the right person.

The rate was cheap for the first year but then skyrocketed at renewal. Despite having an excellent driving discount, multiple policy discounts, and no claims, my rates were raised by over $800 for the year between auto and home. I'm leaving in August and will save over $1500 with our new policies! This is also with a very good credit rating of over 750.

They keep raising the policy over the years, even though my driving record is not bad at all.

I wouldn't recommend Liberty Mutual to any of my friends. I've been with this company for almost three years, with no accidents or traffic violations since I got my car in April 2019. However, my rates keep going up, despite being 59 years old. I've been researching for better rates and when I find them, I plan to switch immediately.

Don't get a renters policy from Liberty! They won't pay a claim for any reason.

Liberty Mutual was very good two years ago. However, in the last two years, they have raised my insurance by $200. My payments went from $225 to $435. My wife and I have had no accidents, no tickets, and we never missed a payment. When we asked them why our insurance had jumped up so high, all they could tell us was that we were getting the maximum amount of discounts and there was nothing they could do for us.

It was a terrible experience. After being a loyal customer for years without any accidents, my insurance was unexpectedly raised from $306 to $393 a month.

I was drawn to Liberty in 2018 by a good quote on annual car insurance coverage. Since then, Liberty has been raising the rate by 10% every year, even though I have a spotless driving record. My most recent quote was an 80% increase from last year, which is unacceptable.

There is no way to get a hold of an agent, even in an emergency. I was hit by a drunk driver and the company was almost completely useless in trying to help. I was stranded for 3 1/2 hours waiting for a tow truck. Then, I had to wait to sort out where the truck was being towed. My claims adjuster does not communicate. I finally gave up and had my lawyer contact the adjuster. She is not good at her job and does not seem to care about helping clients get their lives back in order.

Liberty Mutual failed to inform the Florida Department of Transportation that I was insured. As a result, I was stopped by the police because vandals had bent my rear license plate. The police ran my license and it showed that I had no insurance and my license was suspended for 2 years. I was given a ticket and my car was towed away because I didn't have a valid driver's license. I was taken away in a police van. I had to contact the Florida DMV and Liberty Mutual. The Florida DMV then sent me a letter stating that my driver's license was indeed valid and I had to take that letter to court to get my ticket nullified. I also did not receive a timely notification that my premiums were increasing by $600 a year at the state minimum for an accident caused by an uninsured driver, which was not my fault. She made an illegal left turn into the path of my car. Because of the untimely lack of communication regarding the increased premium, I had to find less expensive insurance coverage, creating a lapse of 21 days. Now, the 'A' rated companies want nothing to do with me. I have always been insured since age 15 and had multiple cars from my mid-20s through late 50s, always at a preferred risk rate. Now, because of Liberty Mutual's blunder, I am no longer qualified for coverage with the best companies and am paying an unjust premium increase due to Liberty Mutual's ineptness.

It upsets me when I see commercials about 'only pay for what you need.' My payment went from $225.00 to $354.97 with Liberty Mutual in the middle of a policy. I want to cancel this policy because they raised their prices without any reason. I would never recommend this company to anyone. When their ads come on TV, I find them so distasteful that I turn them off. Instead of referring someone to Liberty Mutual, I would dissuade them from it.

Okay, but too expensive.

If you hit a deer on the highway, Liberty Mutual might drop you and force you to switch to another insurance company. It doesn't matter how long you've had your policy with them or the fact that they waited over 2.5 years.

I would advise against using Auto Pay. They don't deduct the money immediately. When they attempt to take the payment days later, they add a penalty to your policy. This offsets your auto discount, resulting in a higher bill for the following month.

In the beginning, they were very helpful. However, when I complained about the premium, I received three different numbers. I got one price from someone on the phone, then two other prices in my email at two different times. Eventually, I settled on a number.

It's hard to speak to anyone on the phone and the price was horrible!

Our rates were raised by 27% despite having no claims. It was the company's decision to issue a check for $1,000 even though we were not responsible for the accident. I asked your agent, Matt Olson, about our renewal rates in mid-May. I didn't hear back until I saw the new deductions for June. His response was, 'I forgot.' Even with a heads up, I have now reduced or deleted coverage for June and still do not have the new rates. To top it off, the higher rates were deducted from our checking account, nearly $100 that we could have used elsewhere.

This is the worst insurance and the worst handlers I have ever had! They lied and added things to my insurance that I never wanted because I asked for a quote. When I never had an accident, they gave money to another party without informing me or anything.

My auto insurance increased by over $300 and I couldn't speak to a representative to find out why. Additionally, when I tried to review my renters' insurance coverage, they asked me to complete a survey about the construction of my apartment building, which I'm not qualified to answer!
