I asked them if they could lower my coverage amount, but they said it was the best they could do. However, after checking with four other insurance companies, I found that I could get the same coverage as Liberty, but all four were 30 to 50 dollars cheaper than Liberty. I'm left wondering why and how they are cheaper with the same coverage.

I really like Liberty Mutual as a company and what they stand for. However, I can't understand why my rates have doubled in the past year and a half I've been with them. In the first year, my rates were locked in and I participated in the safe driving discount program, which is a great program. But it wasn't made clear that after the first year, those rates are not binding and no longer count unless you sign up again, and you aren't guaranteed the same discount. The only reason I've been given for the increase is that the state laws where I live have increased. But doubling seems excessive. I give 4 stars because I can't afford for my rates to increase anymore. I haven't done anything wrong - no tickets, no claims, no accidents. Nothing! And I'm 39! I guess when I hit the big 4-0, they will go down 10 bucks and I'm expected to be happy with that. I think I'll shop around.

I'm not sure if it's just me or if others have had similar experiences, but my collaboration with Liberty Mutual was very disappointing. After more than three years without an accident, I had one on February 9, 2023. Liberty Mutual provided me with $1600 to fix my car, and I was not at fault for the accident. I have proof of this. However, a few months later, my payments increased. When I called to understand why, they told me it would end in April 2024. I continued to make payments until that date. However, when I checked my payment schedule afterwards, I saw that I had to pay double the amount, around $800. The worst part is that I didn't receive any notification explaining this increase. To be honest, it's very disappointing. Feel free to call me anytime if you want more explanation. Thanks.

They misled me at every turn. The representative said that my rates would go down the following October, but when the time came, they told me they don't change rates in the middle of the year. Then they said since my house was a prefabricated home, they insured me through one of their affiliates and told me my policies did not qualify for the discount.
