Liberty Mutual failed to inform the Florida Department of Transportation that I was insured. As a result, I was stopped by the police because vandals had bent my rear license plate. The police ran my license and it showed that I had no insurance and my license was suspended for 2 years. I was given a ticket and my car was towed away because I didn't have a valid driver's license. I was taken away in a police van. I had to contact the Florida DMV and Liberty Mutual. The Florida DMV then sent me a letter stating that my driver's license was indeed valid and I had to take that letter to court to get my ticket nullified. I also did not receive a timely notification that my premiums were increasing by $600 a year at the state minimum for an accident caused by an uninsured driver, which was not my fault. She made an illegal left turn into the path of my car. Because of the untimely lack of communication regarding the increased premium, I had to find less expensive insurance coverage, creating a lapse of 21 days. Now, the 'A' rated companies want nothing to do with me. I have always been insured since age 15 and had multiple cars from my mid-20s through late 50s, always at a preferred risk rate. Now, because of Liberty Mutual's blunder, I am no longer qualified for coverage with the best companies and am paying an unjust premium increase due to Liberty Mutual's ineptness.

They were distant until they increased the payments. They wouldn't even cover a cracked windshield. It's too expensive for what you get. I signed up online, which was a big mistake. I just sold my house, so guess what, my next house will have a new insurance company.

It upsets me when I see commercials about 'only pay for what you need.' My payment went from $225.00 to $354.97 with Liberty Mutual in the middle of a policy. I want to cancel this policy because they raised their prices without any reason. I would never recommend this company to anyone. When their ads come on TV, I find them so distasteful that I turn them off. Instead of referring someone to Liberty Mutual, I would dissuade them from it.

I would advise against using Auto Pay. They don't deduct the money immediately. When they attempt to take the payment days later, they add a penalty to your policy. This offsets your auto discount, resulting in a higher bill for the following month.

Our rates were raised by 27% despite having no claims. It was the company's decision to issue a check for $1,000 even though we were not responsible for the accident. I asked your agent, Matt Olson, about our renewal rates in mid-May. I didn't hear back until I saw the new deductions for June. His response was, 'I forgot.' Even with a heads up, I have now reduced or deleted coverage for June and still do not have the new rates. To top it off, the higher rates were deducted from our checking account, nearly $100 that we could have used elsewhere.

Don't fall for the accident forgiveness scheme. While they may forgive your accident, they certainly won't forget it. They'll mention your accident as a reason to disqualify you from the safe driver discount. My rates have consistently increased every year since the accident four years ago. It's truly unfortunate that I work hard for 60 hours a week, and yet, I have to pay outrageous prices for car insurance. It seems unfair to society that we are burdened with these costs simply because driving is a necessity in today's world. Driving without insurance is not the way to go, but maintaining insurance for our three vehicles costs us $418 a month. Many people go their whole lives without making a claim, yet insurance companies show no remorse for the working class. A lot of us weren't fortunate enough to have everything handed to us. I started working when I was 12. We will never have anything left to enjoy when we retire because the cost of living is so high. I earn a good income, but $400 is a significant amount to pay every month. When you see ads promising lower rates, you think there's a chance for relief. But then you find out the rates are the same as what you're already paying. It feels like another company is taking advantage of the working man. We deserve better. I hope the right people see this and make changes. Greed is the root of all evil.
