I meant to give a star, but only because I wasn’t informed of a speeding ticket for going ten miles over the limit in Maryland. This resulted in my license being suspended, and I received no mail or email about it until a police officer in Pennsylvania finally let me know in a parking lot! Now it’s cleared up, but it shouldn’t have gone on that long. I’m a very safe and cautious driver, and to find out that nobody informed me was devastating. However, Liberty Mutual was the best in accommodating what I needed compared to all the other companies!

I have filed a complaint with the Iowa Insurance Commission because other insurance companies are doing this to people too. In my opinion, it should never be based on your score or credit rating. This is price gouging Americans and it's very sad. That's why I left Liberty Mutual and then Progressive. I also plan to contact senators about this so they can tell Liberty Mutual and other insurance companies that they can't just increase customers' rates because their credit score and rating is bad. This has been going on for too long. I think Liberty Mutual and all other auto insurance companies will likely face a class action lawsuit and will be instructed to pay back these overcharges to millions of Americans. Now you, Liberty Mutual, know my complaint. Do something proper, just, and right for your customers and stop these crazy rate hikes over people's credit rating and score. Thank you for listening.

I had a bad experience with a minor accident where there were no injuries. I lost my car and had to pay a large deductible for a smashed door. They declared my car a total loss. I've heard from parts folks that they made a lot of money from parting out my car. The repair would have only cost 2000k. I feel like they took advantage of me as a senior. Now, I'm stuck with a super high rate.

The representatives didn't clearly explain the procedure when an account is lost at CB. I called to cancel my auto pay and asked about the new payment method. The representative informed me that she would mail an invoice on August 16, with a due date of August 31. I agreed, even though it seemed unusual. However, she failed to inform me that the amount due would be approximately $340.00. I'm currently at work and can't check the exact amount. Had I been informed about this, I could have avoided further debt.

I'm very disappointed. This isn't the first time I've called about a rising premium. The representative never seemed interested. The response was always the same, 'You're getting the best rate.' Last time, after my persistence, I was transferred, my policy was rewritten, and I saved over $1000 per year. This time, I asked the representative to consider how long I've been insured with LM - over 40 years. It didn't make a difference at all. There was no change in attitude. The rate remained the same. I was told I could check elsewhere for a better rate if I chose to. After 40 years, it seems LM doesn't even care about keeping me.

They were very good until I unfortunately got involved in two accidents that were not my fault. They did pay out, but then my rates not only increased, they increased excessively. They seem to be only helpful if they don't have to pay anything. I was involved in a deer strike situation where, in Ohio, there isn't supposed to be any customer expense. However, my rate is now triple. Very poor service. I'm currently seeking help elsewhere!
