I'm a happy customer.

No problems.

Direct Auto has less than fair practices in taking care of their customer base. Without warning, they take actions against their customers. They do not contact them prior to such actions. They drop and cancel policies on a whim. Their associates do not do their jobs in compliance with their own company policies and cause these problems.

The payments are too high for a long-time customer.

Direct Auto has been easy to access and use. For some reason, when it came time to renew my policy, my monthly rate went up almost 30 dollars for no apparent reason. That's the only reason I'm looking for something else right now. They were the cheapest until it was time to renew. However, I'm still satisfied with the coverage I have/had.

I experienced a flat tire on the interstate and despite having paid for Roadside service every month for years, they were unresponsive. I received a call four hours later in the hot Florida sun, and was told that no one was available to assist me. In addition, they raised rates almost every month despite me having no tickets or accidents. I was paying over $250.00 a month for a Toyota. I wouldn't recommend them.

They are not honest about their affiliations. I recommend looking elsewhere.

This applies to all auto insurers. Having no incidents and reduced driving mileage should ensure more favorable rate changes. Otherwise, we're financing others' liabilities.

The insurance was easy to obtain and the customer service was pleasant. However, their internet functions were terrible when it came to sending requested information; I had to send requests 10 times. My premium was raised by $30 after only one month of having the policy, with no accidents or previous warnings. The prices for liability coverage only are high.

I didn't have any claims, so that's not applicable. However, the cost was becoming unreasonable at $223.38 per month, even though I was on their safe driving program. Every time I got into my car, the price seemed excessive.

I find it absolutely outrageous to pay that much for insurance coverage. Other insurance companies won't even insure us, so it's not entirely their fault. However, the cost of car insurance is just ridiculous.

They overcharged me for insurance, almost 600 dollars a month for a truck. That's absolutely outrageous. My roadside assistance never worked. Just a disappointing company.

My experience was okay until I decided to get a tag. My quote was higher because one letter was entered incorrectly. I feel like it wasn't my fault and I should've received a credit or something, which I did not receive.

I have tried to change my due date to the last day of the month, but they refused to push it, so I am always late.

I was initially told that I would pay $170 per month, but I'm currently paying $209 per month.

They started with a decent rate, then doubled it. They wanted $200 per month for a 60-year-old driver with no accidents or tickets for the minimum insurance! It's ridiculous.

They will report your no-fault accident, and your insurance will go up.

They keep messing up our premiums. They went from $187 to $525. We called four days in a row trying to find out why, and someone was supposed to call us back but never did. We still don't have an explanation.

Don't go with them. They can't keep their adjusters on the same page and then they cancel policies without notification through email or call.

Consider shopping for cheaper options!

There needs to be cheaper insurance options for people with tickets and accidents.

I consistently faced issues with them altering the price of my monthly payment. Once, they even sent a payment to Marysville, TN, which resulted in me being without insurance for a month. This could have led to serious consequences such as jail time or causing harm to someone. It seemed like there was an issue every month.

It's too much money.

It's terrible. They pretty much make you feel like a liar even when you have all the necessary paperwork to prove your honesty. I would never file a claim with them.

I believed I had a reasonable deal, having paid for full coverage for several months. However, I now feel that I would have been better off without any insurance at all. The company offers paperless billing, but never actually allows you to go paperless to receive the discount. The customer service is extremely disappointing.

I have an iPhone 5 and they said that they give you discounts for better driving, but I still haven't received any discounts.
