Direct Auto has been easy to access and use. For some reason, when it came time to renew my policy, my monthly rate went up almost 30 dollars for no apparent reason. That's the only reason I'm looking for something else right now. They were the cheapest until it was time to renew. However, I'm still satisfied with the coverage I have/had.

They were not transparent about their pricing when I signed up. They convinced me to add many ancillary products based on discounts, but failed to mention that the policy expense was due to these additional products, not the actual policy itself. Therefore, my first and second months were significantly more expensive than they needed to be, which was very frustrating. Additionally, the insurance itself is extremely expensive for no apparent reason other than I haven't had insurance for a while due to not owning a car. I have no accidents or tickets, and neither does my husband. Yet, we are still paying $300 a month for an older vehicle, and we are in our 40s. I find it absolutely outrageous to pay that much for insurance coverage. Other insurance companies won't even insure us, so it's not entirely their fault. However, the cost of car insurance is just ridiculous.

They overcharged me for insurance, almost 600 dollars a month for a truck. That's absolutely outrageous. My roadside assistance never worked. Just a disappointing company.

Don't go with them. They can't keep their adjusters on the same page and then they cancel policies without notification through email or call.

There needs to be cheaper insurance options for people with tickets and accidents.

I consistently faced issues with them altering the price of my monthly payment. Once, they even sent a payment to Marysville, TN, which resulted in me being without insurance for a month. This could have led to serious consequences such as jail time or causing harm to someone. It seemed like there was an issue every month.

It's too much money.

It's terrible. They pretty much make you feel like a liar even when you have all the necessary paperwork to prove your honesty. I would never file a claim with them.

I believed I had a reasonable deal, having paid for full coverage for several months. However, I now feel that I would have been better off without any insurance at all. The company offers paperless billing, but never actually allows you to go paperless to receive the discount. The customer service is extremely disappointing.

My experience was less than satisfactory. I was automatically switched from SafeAuto to DirectAuto. Unfortunately, their customer service was not helpful at all. Despite having two 6-month policies and zero driving or traffic incidents, my policy's cost kept increasing. This was for a vehicle that's only used for appointments and occasional store visits. I called to find out the reason for the increase but never received a clear answer. As a result, I discontinued my policy and took my business elsewhere. When I was first shifted from SafeAuto to DirectAuto, there was an approximate $80 increase. The renewal this time was even more expensive, and again, customer service couldn't provide a satisfactory explanation.

I'm not a fan, and the price is high.
