My car was stolen and totaled on 6/28/19, and I still can't negotiate an agreement that isn't a lowball offer. I received two offers within a 2 to 3 week period, but the second one was only $364.00 higher than the first one. I've never had any claims with Safeco. The price was good at first, but they tend to increase their policies significantly. I have left them before, and they returned after a few years with good pricing. However, after 2 or 3 years, they raised their auto insurance prices by 34% to 43%. I have home, auto, and rental houses with them, so I get combined coverage for auto and homes. Now, I'm shopping around to see if there are any better quotes closer to my last year's quotes. I understand that prices go up, but not by that much.

They have been slow on a claim my husband filed. I was paying for ultra coverage, which includes new car replacement. So, he was told our car that was totaled would be paid off, but it wasn't. There was no replacement either. I was paying for ultra coverage, so why didn't we get it when my husband had an accident? I have no claims filed. I just pay the bill and expect the coverage I am paying for.
