My rate went from 366 to over 400 in one month.

Poor service. They canceled my claim without any explanation.

They are overly expensive and I am continuously looking for other insurance companies that cover salvage titles. They are unwilling to rerun my credit so I can get a better discount, which upsets me. Their advertising on different platforms does not reflect any of the prices I pay for two cars on liability only.

I got into a minor accident and they almost doubled my rate.

I was in the hospital and I called to see if they would waive the late payment, but they flatly refused. This is a good short-term insurance policy. However, the app doesn't accurately capture driving tendencies. Due to GPS lagging, it reads as if you're speeding, which raises the policy rate and claims bad driving. In the long run, this can triple, if not quadruple, the original rate.

The price was extremely high for basic coverage and it was raised despite having a clean driving record and a great driving score on the app. I wouldn't recommend it unless it's a last resort. The first six months weren't bad; it was good value for money. However, they tried to increase the policy by over a hundred dollars a month for the next six months. That was too much of a jump for us, so we switched.

They initially offer you a good rate. However, after a driving test, which is not at all accurate, they give you a lower score than what it says you have. Using this as an excuse, they increase the rate to at least double of what they originally quoted you.

My policy was due on the 28th and they informed me they were going to cancel my policy on the 12th, even though I had already paid it. I requested a cancellation and a refund, but they only gave me part of my money back. They should have refunded the full amount because I paid ahead.

Root raises your insurance even if you have never had an accident or received any tickets. They don't seem to care about their clients, they just increase your insurance premiums. It seems like greed to me.

I started with Root four years ago when I had an older pickup truck. In three years, the price doubled. Now, I have a small car with full coverage that I can't afford, and there's no way to edit my policy without canceling it.
