Instead of checking with me to see if it was a mistake that two identical payments went through within two minutes of each other and declining one of them, they put both through. This caused my rent payment to be declined. I pay $190.00 a month for my insurance and have had one $75.00 lockout claim in over a year. This is how I was helped - by being told 'I'm sorry, there's nothing we can do since it's completed.' I find it hard to believe that ROOT Insurance doesn't have $190.00 to refund to me from their multimillion-dollar bank accounts. This small mistake has caused me a lot of grief and all they had to do was reverse the transaction. My rent didn't go through, so I had to use car payment money for that, and it became a vicious cycle. Also, the customer service representative couldn't even help me update any info on the phone. She told me I would have to do it online. What about people without wifi at home? Thank you, ROOT, for all your help!
