Bristol West refuses to speak with me directly, instead they communicate through an agent who just doesn't seem to understand. My driving information is incorrect and I need this to be corrected urgently.

I'm still waiting for my policy and cards. My policy was canceled because they hadn't posted my check in a week. It's been two weeks since my last call to straighten out my policy and payment plan. I'm not even a little happy with Bristol.

I don't like it. They recorded the wrong information for my car. I ended up paying for someone else's car for two months. Granted, I should have double checked, but I never had this issue before.

I've always paid around $48 to $52 a month for basic liability, which is within my budget. I never had any issues with Bristol West until October 2024 when they took $100 out of my account. In September, a month earlier, I paid $49. Then in November 2024, my premium was at $74. I'm on a very limited budget and only get one check a month. I have never had an accident or gotten any tickets ever! I told my agent I simply can't afford much and she reassured me that because my credit is excellent and I have an excellent driving record, my policy will stay the same.

For my 2004 car, I was paying $252 a month, which was a sudden increase from $191. State Farm seems to be a better option, so it might be worth shopping around.

It's not as recognized as Farmer's or other well-known brands, but it performs similarly.

I thought I had found insurance that I could afford and that fit within my budget. However, I later discovered that Bristol West had raised my premium by $152 without consulting me. They claimed that GEICO wouldn't provide them with a copy of my declaration letter. Instead of contacting me about this issue, they simply increased my insurance rate.

I definitely do not recommend this company. My car was hit and the responsible party fled the scene. I attempted to contact the agency that issued my policy, but received no response. I even sent them the police report, but still no response. Out of frustration, I cancelled the policy. They did refund the remaining balance of my policy, but overall, I would not recommend this company to anyone.

They raised my price even though I lost 5 points and had a major accident. I found coverage for a year that is less than what I was paying for 6 months with Bristol West.

The original prices quoted were never accurate. The policy price increased twice within two months and the processing fee is ridiculous. You're better off going to a higher quality insurance company. I was quoted $115, then it went up to $125, now it's $190. Go figure.
